A Wildly Seductive Night
Lauren Blakely

Once upon a time there was a very happy couple who had wild, hot, passionate, seductive nights every day, and every night. But that’s not all they had between them. They had love, and trust, and respect. He adored her and treated her like a queen, and he also f*&ked her like a porn star. She was so very good to him, and made his life complete. Their sexy marriage was the stuff dirty fairytales were made of.

But there was one thing they didn’t have.

One thing they both secretly wanted.

One thing better than pearls…

Clay Nichols is back! He's got the dirty talking mouth and sexual skills to back it up. And Julia Nichols love keeping up with them and giving it right back. They've still got that sexy, flirty, fun rapport and true love and affection. But they are still trying out new ways to keep their marriage interesting.

They are such a fun couple...sweet, hot, devoted, and really truly happy-as-hell in love. They both have careers and things going on and their lives are busy and full. But they make it all work.

This is a short, funny, steamy novella with  one of my all time favorite book couples. I loved spending more time with them. Clay is just the perfect combination or hot and sweet. Seeing him as a family man just adds to his appeal. I adored the scenes with six year old Carly. Julia is feisty and fun. I always get happy to see character cameos from other Lauren Blakely books.

This is like the continuation of their dirty fairy tale and the extended happy ever after epilogue. I love getting a glimpse into their future and seeing them continue to grow and try new things. It is not full of contrived drama between them, but more just how they keep dealing with life, work, love, and family. Fans of this series will be happy to get to spend more time with this beloved couple. And we get a bit more of a tease with Clay's cousin, Tyler. More Nichols men...yes, please!

Julia is stressed by a challenge at work, while they each try to come up with the perfect anniversary gift for the other. Several years after the last time readers had Julia and Clay in their focus, A Wildly Seductive Night once again lets readers into the private lives of two hot, fun New Yorkers.

This short story was sexy, steamy and everything readers expect from these two favorite characters. I loved watching these two as their relationship has moved past the shiny new phase, yet they continue to smoulder when they are together.

The danger of continuation stories like this is that I already love where the couple finished and do not want to see them thrown into built up drama just for the sake of a story. This story does not throw unneeded drama into their lives. Rather, it takes an honest look at marriage, life balance, and where two people who deeply love each other would be as they settle into family routines.

There is also a great little introduction to Clay’s cousin, Tyler, who will be getting his own spin off soon. There is definitely something in those genes!

Ah, so she liked to banter. That would do just fine. He ran his hand along the silk of his tie as he drank her in, his eyes sliding down her face, settling on those lips.

“Depends where Point B is.” She raised an eyebrow as she ran a finger along the top button of her light jacket, then down the front, all the way to the belt cinched tight at her waist. A summer breeze carried through the cooler night air.

“Point B is where I’m heading tonight,” he said, his voice confident, his eyes following her hand.

“Point B, you say?”

“Would you like to know what Point B is?”

“Perhaps I’ll find out soon.” She tilted her head. “What about adventure? How would you rate boats for that?”

“Some”—he lingered on the word—“can be playgrounds for adventure.”

“And perhaps for trouble then, too.”

He reached for the end of the belt on her jacket, fingering the material. “Why do I think you like both trouble and adventure?”

Raising her chin, she held his gaze. “I’m in the mood for adventure right now. How about you?”

“I’m equally adept at both.” His fingers traveled up the belt to the knot in the middle. He had no intention of untying it, though. Point B didn’t require the removal of clothing.

“What sort of adventure can a stranger like you have with a woman like me?” she asked, her breath catching for a second when he skimmed a finger across the exposed skin of her collarbone.

His palm found the back of her neck. A sweet little gasp escaped her lips. “I could tell you,” he murmured, leaning closer, “or I could show you.”

She grabbed his tie and tugged him closer. “What if I want you to do both?” “Then, gorgeous, you’re about to get a big show and tell."
