This is the first book in the November Blue series.

Scars from her first love and the reckless lifestyle of her parents force Ember Harris to chart a new course. She favors practicality over spontaneity and rules over a broken heart.

An encounter with a musician at a local pub forces Ember into making a decision to let go or hold on for dear life as passions are unlocked and deceptions revealed.

Kim's Review:

"November, if your heart was mine it would never break."

November Blue Harris is smart, successful, sweet and loyal. She's had her heart broken and is not really open to finding the perfect one.

But then she meets Bo Cavanaugh. He's a hot, sexy, talented, intense, musician. They feel an immediate spark and scorching chemistry. These two together are intense!

The first time I laid eyes on Bo, I knew he was different; all internal dialogue stopped and my soul nudged my eyes to meet his. Each time his fingers strummed across the strings of his guitar, the sound reverberated in my soul as if it was receiving a message my ears couldn't hear.

Most notably, it was the first time my soul whispered to me, in words so clear, Oh, November, this is it...

"...he said that Bo looked at him with complete seriousness and said that when he first sang with you, and looked in to your eyes, it was like he was able to feel everything you've ever felt. He said his soul thumped inside of him and it felt like he's known you and love your for a thousand lifetimes."

I absolutely adored Bo. He was totally swoon-worthy! He's protective, adoring, loving, poetic, and did I say hot?! He is more complex than just a simple musician: he has a painful past, is wealthy and has secrets. Their two worlds collide in more ways than one when business mixes with pleasure.

In the short time they are together, they find an incredibly intense connection and appear to be soul mates. They share similar interests as well as undeniable passion and feelings.  All seems to be going well, but all is not what it seems.

There has to be some drama and angst. They have many obstacles along the way due to work situations, secrets, omissions, danger, betrayal, and distance. And a really big intrusion known as Ember's former love, Adrian Turner who totally gets involved in their new found relationship.  But I totally loved them as a couple and wanted them to be able to navigate it all together and be okay.

"Sorry, it's just, tonight, last night, the day before, and the eight before that I've thought of forever when I've thought of you Bo. F**king forever."
He grinned, "And that's a bad thing?"
"It's a crazy person thing."
"Guess I'm crazy, too."

November Blue, You've give me the most perfect ten days that anyone could ever dream of having,. I love you more each day, and plan to love you more for however many days I have left on this Earth.

Will Ember and Bo find their forever or fall part under the strain?  Or will Adrian find his way back into her heart? Unfortunately, the story is not over yet. I am anxiously awaiting book two Reckless Abandon coming in March.

I was broken. For the first time in my life I was broken, and it was at the hands of the cruel temptress "Reckless Abandon." Our souls had gone out ahead of us and made plans they couldn't promise they'd keep...

Excerpt:
“Hey,” he said as he rocked his shoulder in to mine, “that was crazy good. I’ve never sung that song live before either.”
Bo’s shoulder paused on mine as he placed his elbows on bent knees, dangling his pint from his long fingers. He slipped off his black Sperry’s and dragged his toes through the sand. Even his feet are sexy.
“Still, you’re an asshole. I nearly fainted!”
My scalp tingled as he brushed my hair aside, dancing his fingers across the back of my neck. His hands were tight, like guitar strings, and just as delicate. Despite the callused fingertips that come from years of plucking, their graze was soft and inviting.

“Forgive me,” he chuckled as he pressed his thick, soft lips on the spot where my neck meets my shoulders.

“K,” I sighed as I turned my lips to his.

He grabbed my chin and turned my face away as he worked his lips from the base of my neck to my ear. Nothing inside me had recovered from the night before, but I was nearly panting
for more. I felt utterly helpless as his lips grazed my ear a second time. All I could do was kiss the top of his head, which caused him to right himself and look me straight in the eyes. I leaned forward and pressed my lips into his sharp jaw line. His breath stopped for a moment as I pulled my lips away and returned them to his neck. Our pint glasses hit the sand, and he placed both hands behind my head. Once again, his eyes held mine captive.
