Josh knows the moment he lays eyes on Heather that she is the one he’s been waiting for. During months of obstacles and denied feelings, he is rejected by her time and time again.

When he finally wins her love, Josh and Heather start planning their future together…until Heather receives one bit of news she never wanted to hear again.

EXCERPT #3:
Brad and Scott talked for a bit as I looked around for Josh. He was talking and laughing with the DJ.
Ah, so the little bastard is going to have his hand in the romance department this evening.
Gunner reached up and handed Scott a beer as Scott sat down.
Then, Gunner turned to me. He leaned in toward me, so only I could hear him. “Does he think he stands a chance?” Gunner looked out at Josh.
I laughed. “I guess he does. This should be interesting to watch.”
Gunner and I both sat back and started to drink our beers as we watched Josh talking to the DJ.
“He’s probably asking the DJ to recommend a good song,” Gunner said with a chuckle.
Brad sat down as he started laughing. “Think so? This is gonna be good. Gotta give him props for trying though. I think I have both of y’all beat with my song.”
Gunner and I both looked at Brad as he smiled and took a sip of his Coke.
“Ari cried,” I said.
“Oh, come on, dude,” Brad said.
Scott asked, “What in the hell are y’all talking about?”
Gunner looked over at the girls and saw they were deep in conversation. “We have a little romance contest going on. Trying to see which one of us can outromance the other with our song choices.”
Scott’s mouth dropped open. “That’s fucked up, y’all. Do the girls know what you’re doing?”
At the same time, Gunner, Brad, and I all said, “No.”
Josh shook the DJ’s hand, and as he started to walk back toward us, he had a cocky-ass smile plastered on his face.
Poor guy. He really doesn’t stand a chance.
He walked right past us and up to Heather. He took her hand and pulled her up to him. “I have something special just for you,” Josh said before he kissed the back of Heather’s hand.
Gunner muttered, “Pesh,” under his breath.
Ellie smacked Gunner on the back of his head. “Knock it off.”
Just then, the DJ asked for everyone’s attention. “Listen up, y’all. I’ve had a special request from one very lucky man in the house tonight. He’s getting married in a couple days.”
Everyone started to clap and whistle.
“Ah hell,” Gunner and I said at the same time.
Brad and Scott started laughing.
“Josh, bring your beautiful future bride out onto the dance floor,” the DJ said.
Josh started leading Heather out to the dance floor. As he passed us, he smiled and winked. “Watch how it’s done, gentlemen.”
“Little bastard!” Gunner called out, earning another slap on the head from Ellie.
We watched as Josh walked Heather out to the middle of the dance floor. Her face was bright red, and when he kissed her on the cheek, all I heard were oohs and aahs. Someone handed Josh a microphone, and then he got down on one knee.
Brad, Gunner, and I all leaned forward.
“What in the hell is he doing? He can’t ask her to marry him. He’s already done that!” I said.
Ari smacked me on the shoulder. “Be quiet for Christ’s sake!”
“Holy hell, she’s already crying, and he hasn’t even started talking yet,” Brad said.
“Heather, I never in my life thought I could be as happy as I am in this very moment. The idea of spending the rest of my life with you just about brings me down to both knees. I cannot wait to make you my wife. I want to make all your dreams come true. I want to be the best husband and father to our unborn babies as I possibly can.”
Josh put his hand on her stomach and then kissed her belly as Heather brought her hand up to her mouth. He looked up at her and smiled.
“Is he crying?” Scott asked.
“Bastard,” Gunner, Brad, and I said at the same time.
“Shh!” Ellie, Amanda, and Ari said at the same time.
“Princess, I want to be your everything.” He stood up and took Heather in his arms as Keith Urban’s “Your Everything” started to play.
“Oh. My. God. If that is not the most romantic thing ever!” Ellie said.
Gunner snapped his head around and looked at her.
I was still staring out at them. They were the only two dancing as everyone stood around and watched.
“Holy hell, that just swept me off my damn feet! Heather is so lucky!” Amanda said.
Brad choked on his drink.
Ari walked around and sat on my lap. Her eyes looked like they were filling with tears as she watched them dancing.
Jesus H. Christ. Is she about to cry?
“So incredibly romantic…wow. Heather really is lucky.” She turned to me and smiled. “I think Josh won by a landslide. Don’t you think, babe?”
Scott busted out laughing as I just looked at her.
All I could do was let out a small laugh before I grabbed her and brought her in for a kiss. I pulled slightly away from her lips. “He certainly did.”
When she gave me that drop-dead beautiful smile of hers, my heart started racing.
“I love you, babe.” She captured my lips with hers.I kissed her and poured as much love into the kiss as I could. When she ran her hands through my hair, I wanted to just rip off her clothes and take her right here and now.

"...a love like that is too strong to be broken...by anything! A love like that will remain faithful to the very end."

We have already been following Heather and Josh's story throughout this series in Wanted and Saved. Heather is the sweet school teacher who lost her parents to tragedy and Josh is the reformed bad boy, man whore who was getting his life together. At the end of Saved, it looked like after many trials and tribulations that they were really in a good place, but a misunderstanding and an accident changed the course of their lives again

The accident has repercussions: memory loss, demons from the past, and confusion. Josh is in a vulnerable state and Heather feels lost and powerless. They have to learn who each other are all over again and deal with outside influences causing conflict. And of course this is a Kelly Elliott book so you know there has to be struggles, miscommunication, misunderstandings, angst, and drama. Josh's ex Victoria takes over the bitch role in this book and she does it very well. I wanted to back slap her myself so many times!

I adore Josh. He really has matured through this series and even as he struggled to understand everything, he could feel his connection to Heather. It was beautiful to see his reaction to Heather and how he could fall all over again.  Heather is caring, strong and so devoted. Sure she has issues, insecurities,  and fears, but she really has come into her own. She has faced so much in her life and it has affected her deeply. But her love for Josh is never in question.

"With every ounce of strength I have, I will fight for our love. I will forever be true and faithful to only you. I love you so much, and I'd be lost without you in my life....You are my every breath, every smile every tear, and every single laugh. You are my everything. You are my life, Josh Hayes."

"I want to lose myself in you...and I pray to God I also find myself in you, princess."

This is the story of love finding a way during difficult circumstances. There are some really sweet, swoony moments, and others that made me want to throw my kindle, cry or smack someone. This book packed in so much, but it was never boring, and I was greedily devouring the story to see what was going to happen next.

"I've never in my life...ever...felt this way with anyone. You're the air that I breathe, the light in my darkness, the hope of my future."

"Good lord, can't we just have a few months of no drama in this group of ours?"~Ellie

Kelly Elliott has created a world with characters and couples you cannot help but love and adore despite their faults. Ellie and Gunner, Ari and Jeff, and Amanda and Brad and their continuing stories are all a big part of this book as well. And we get to know Scott and Jessie more. The men are swoony and sexy, the women are sassy, independent, and strong. The villians are nasty and make you furious. You feel all of their pain, fear, joy, anger, heart break, and happiness. And there is so much humor too. These characters play off each other so well and are really funny and feisty. She never fails to bring out every emotion and keep you flipping pages quickly. I love getting points of view from all of the main characters and her transitions flow flawlessly. I really feel like I am transported in this world and am part of their group(Damn, I would not mind having one of these amazing, swoony, sexy guys to call my own...sigh). I love these couples. They have become like friends that I love to go and visit. and I enjoy being with them during the good and bad times. They are devoted, loving, protective, passionate, and real. They are not perfect, they make mistakes and they learn from them. These couples all have amazing chemistry, intense connections, and passion. And they are such a tight core group of friends that stick by each other through thick and thin. Their little competitions, teasing, and witty rapport just show how much affection they hold for each other. And they are protective as hell and will stand up to anyone messing with their friends.

This was largely Heather and Josh's story, but we also saw important events happening with all of the characters lives. This book gave me everything I needed, but at the same time left me ready for more. I can't wait for the next book Cherished. I already really like the couple that we were introduced to in this book. And I could totally see a spin-off series with the children from this series in the future.

Thanks to Kelly Elliott for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Really I'm just a wife to a wonderful Texas cowboy who has a knack for making me laugh almost daily and supports my crazy ideas and dreams for some unknown reason...he claims it's because he loves me.....so I'll just go with that one!I'm also a mom to an amazing daughter who constantly is asking me to make her something to eat while she has her fingers moving like mad on her cell phone sending out what I'm sure is another very important text message!
Oh...and I like to sit down and write in my spare time!

I live in the Texas hill country and one of my favorite things to do is go for hikes around our property with my second favorite man, Gus....my chocolate lab and my sweet girl Rose, our golden retriever. When I'm not outside helping the hubby haul brush or move rocks or what ever fun chore he has in store for me that day, you will find me inside reading, writing or watching HGTV and soaking in a nice hot bubble bath.....yeah that last one I just made up but it sure does sound nice!!!
