Trust in Me: J. Lynn aka Jennifer L. Armentrout

It’s Wait for You as you’ve never seen it. Trust in Me lets you in on Cam’s side of the #1 New York Times Bestselling story.
Cameron Hamilton is used to getting what he wants, especially when it comes to women. But when Avery Morgansten comes crashing into his life – literally – he finally meets the one person who can resist his soulful baby blues. But Cam’s not ready to give up. He can’t get the feisty and intriguing girl out of his head.
Avery has secrets, secrets that keep her from admitting the feelings Cam knows she has for him. Will persistence (and some delicious homemade cookies) help him break down her barriers and gain her trust? Or will he be shut out of Avery's life, losing his first real shot at the kind of love that lasts forever?
I am a huge fan of J. Lynn aka Jennifer Armentrout. I am a HUGE fan of Cam and when I say huge, I mean as in almost stalkerish, so to say I was ecstatic about a book in his POV is an understatement.
So you say why the three point five star review. Well it’s simply because this book didn't offer anything new. Plus, I felt as though Trust was missing major detail that came from Avery's POV in Wait, which just left things feeling a little lacking. The writing is still beautiful, the characters still some of my faves, and Cam, well Cam is still as amazing as ever. Even with all that, I found myself skimming and a little detached. I read this in an hour or so, if that tells you anything. Since there is nothing really new in the book, there isn't really anything new for me to write about.
My opinion has nothing to do with negative against the author or her writing; this is just the third alternate point of view by different authors I have read that is written this way, and each has ended up being the same for me. I think that this style read just isn't my thing.
With that said, I am still madly in love with one Cameron Hamilton (I did love his take on everything)!
P.S. I am waiting anxiously for Jase and Tess, book 2 in this series.
Thank you, edelweiss and William Morrow, for the opportunity to read and review Trust in Me in exchange for my honest opinion.
