As Reapers Motorcycle Club president, Reese “Picnic” Hayes has given his entire life to the club. After losing his wife, he knew he’d never love another woman. And with two daughters to raise and a club to manage, that was just fine with him. These days, Reese keeps his relationships free and easy—he definitely doesn’t want to waste his time on a glorified cleaning lady like London Armstrong.

Too bad he’s completely obsessed with her.

Besides running her own business, London’s got her junkie cousin’s daughter to look after—a more reckless than average eighteen-year-old. Sure she’s attracted to the Reapers’ president, but she’s not stupid. Reese Hayes is a criminal and a thug. But when her young cousin gets caught up with a ruthless drug cartel, Reese might be the only man who can help her. Now London has to make the hardest decision of her life—how far will she go to save her family?

We've seen Reese "Picnic" Hayes through all of the Reapers' books. He is the President of the Reaper's MC Club, father of two young women, and lost his old lady and the love of his life years ago. He is unapologetic, dangerous, does what and who he wants, and is quite intimidating. And he has had the hots for the owner of their cleaning service for six months.

London Armstrong owns her own company and does some cleaning for some of the Reapers' businesses. She is guardian to an impulsive, troubled eighteen year old girl and is also dating a cop. She is independent, stable, nurturing, smart, but also has a feisty, tough side. And she has a crush on Reese Hayes...that could be a very dangerous thing.

As their lives become more entangled, he pushes her and makes her want him more, and he is hard to resist. But he is not looking for long term and does not think he can ever replace his old lady. But despite the fact they are opposites, when they meet in the middle they are volatile and passionate. I really liked them together even though it happened very quickly and they were hit with some serious challenges right away.

But the Reapers' situation with the cartel is unstable. And London has her own issues with her wild ward that will only get worse, not better. And this is a Reapers' book so there has got to be plotting, danger, shootings, explosions, fights, and general turmoil. This one is full of secrets, lies, and hidden agendas. It gets pretty ugly. It got so dicey for this couple that I had serious doubts about how it ever could be resolved. The the club vs. cartel situation was volatile and extremely dangerous causing the Reapers to have to work with other clubs. It has been building up over the last couple of books and is finally about  to be an all out turf war.

It was gritty, brutal, frustrating, shocking, action-packed, and nerve-wracking. I was totally sucked in and invested in the story. I think this might be my favorite of the series so far...partly because I love Reese and also because they were more mature characters. They had more life experience and it also focused on family matters and not just club matters.  They were definitely flawed and not perfect in any way. He is an anti-hero and a rough seasoned biker. And she was a bit naive at times and did not always make the best choices. But she did also show some determination and fight that I appreciated. It was told in both points of view. There were times I loved the them and other times I was so angry with them I wanted to fling my kindle. The story line was unique and the author hit us right from the prologue with this big dramatic scene then took us back in time til we got back there. There were some major challenges to overcome and the whole story was quite a grueling, wild ride.

We got to visit with old friends and meet some new ones. I think we will be seeing some of the younger ones in future books:  Painter (one of the younger Reapers), a new guy Puck, and the new girls introduced Jessica and Mellie definitely have potential. I look forward to more from this raw, intriguing series with characters that I have come to care about.

What a ride! The Reapers have never been an easy bunch, but Picnic and London may just take the cake. And I thought things couldn’t get any more twisted than Em and Hunter.

London Armstrong runs the cleaning company that cleans Pawn and the Line for the Reapers. She is also raising her 18 year old niece Jessica in the absence of her sister, who ran off when Jessica was a child. Between her business and running herd on her niece, she has little time for anything other than her business or niece, but has recently started dating a local cop.

Reese “Picnic” Hayes has watched his wife die too young, his girls grow up too fast, and has done it all running the Reapers MC. He is notorious for the string of girls that parade in and out of his bedroom, doing little more than warming the sheets and moving on. While he watches London clean his properties, he avoids contact with her because he doesn’t like the attraction he feels towards her and knows she isn’t part of the MC life.

When things really started falling apart for London, the ride really began. And once that ball started rolling, it rolled farther and faster than I could have anticipated. I loved that London was so focused on keeping her small family together, even though that family consisted solely of herself, her niece, and her niece’s best friend.

There were so many unexpected twists throughout this story that there were constant surprises jumping out at me. As the MC gets pulled in to London's trouble, loyalties and motives are questioned  and I found myself unable to put the book down.

As the Reapers story progresses, I’ve come to love these rough around the edges guys and their women. We get to see each of the previous couple again, as well as the single club members, and a few new prospects thrown in for good measure.

This whole series has been a gritty ride from page one. It pulls no punches and it is obvious that Ms. Wylde has worked hard to keep these characters authentic and believable while also keeping the stories gripping and entertaining.

Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.

Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.

Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One.

Or so she thinks.
