But they had never really truly let each other in before. He protected her and hid much of his past from her. And his leaving just made her trust and abandonment issues she already suffered from that much worse. But she tried to move on and make a new life for herself. She is sassy, independent, and strong willed. Shane is an alpha, bossy, super-soldier, and moves right back into her life whether she wants him there or not.
I was engaged from the beginning as we were given pieces of information that sometimes appeared conflicting and it was interesting trying to put it all together. There were several possible suspects and multiple dramatic events going on. And they were both trying to figure it out while he had no memory and she had no knowledge of his past or the past two years. Can she really trust Shane? Are people out to get her, Shane, or both?
This was a multi-layered story with danger, suspense, passion, secrets, and surprises. At the core of Shane's world are his three brothers Matt, Nathan, and Jory who are all on an important mission to save each other while finding answers and fighting forces against them. But Josie is also his other true connection and she has her own issues causing drama. It kept me guessing and interested throughout. I am looking forward to reading more about his brothers.

Having grown up in the foster care system, Josie is used to relying on herself but longs for a family, something she once thought she had found in Shane. When he returns she battles the need to feel connected with the need to keep her heart safe. While she is strong and often stands up for herself, it takes her some time to find her inner strength.
Shane doesn’t remember his past, but from the moment he wakes up in the hospital, he knows Josie is someone he wants to keep by his side. As his memories begin to filter back, he worries that he won’t be able to keep her safe. He is protective and alpha, having been genetically engineered and then trained as an ultimate weapon.
I loved the constant twists and turns based on Shane’s returning memories and the clues found in the present. The beginning left me a little confused, but it didn’t take long for the mystery to pull me in while I tried to figure out where Shane had been for the previous two years and who was after them now.
This is the first in the Sin Brothers series, and meeting the remaining brothers and learning about their childhood and how they were raised only made me more intrigued about the series. While this is Shane and Josie’s story, the seed are planted for the other brothers, building a solid base for the overarching storyline that will tie the whole series together. This is one series where I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Forgotten Sins was a thrilling page turner filled with suspense, emotion, mystery, and a race against an unknown threat. With threats coming from multiple sources, there were constant suspicions, and with each new revelation more suspects came to mind until I couldn’t help but read all the way to the end.

There bond is strong and they are willing to fight for love and family. I can't wait for Nate's story.

Matt Dean is tracking a key contact in the quest to secure the safety of himself and his brothers. He finds himself in a small town in Idaho, with a short list of people who could be the person he is looking for. Laney Jacobs, small town bartender, has a backbone, but she is also hiding secrets and a past that pose a threat to her safety.
Matt was always the protector and the leader. As the oldest, his age made him the likely spokesman when it came to dealing with the commander and taking care of his brothers. The experiences from his childhood carried into adulthood. He still protects those he cares the most for, especially his brothers, at personal cost if necessary.
The prologue, as I’m coming to expect from this series, was hard hitting and emotional in it’s harshness considering it takes place during Matt’s childhood. It both gives a view into how the brothers were raised and how they grew into the men they are today.
Sweet Revenge is filled with great suspense and action scenes. When when I thought I had things figured out I couldn’t help but continue reading late into the night.
I missed having as many scenes with the brothers working together, but when it happened, it was epic. And in the end, the lack of influence from the brothers actually helped Laney and Matt’s individual story.
While I was able to accurately predict a couple of the big revelations that happen later in the story, this was a page turner from start to finish. Fast paced, action packed, and full of suspense, I couldn’t wait to find out who the surgeon was, what was really going on in Charmed, and what new information the Dean brothers would learn about their past. The continued threat of discovery by the Commander kept things moving and added one more aspect of suspense to the story.
