From the NYT Bestselling author of MISTER O, comes a sexy new standalone romance...

Let me count the ways why falling into forbidden love is not my wisest move...

1. She works with me every single day.
Did I mention she's gorgeous, sweet, kind and smart?
2. She works in my home.
Playing with my five-year-old daughter. Teaching my little girl. Cooking for my princess. Which means...
3. She's the nanny.
And that makes her completely off-limits...But it doesn't stop me from wanting her. All of her.

***
The other nannies in this city don't call him the Sexy One for nothing. My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention, the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over. But what really makes my knees weak are the times when his gaze lingers on me. In secret. When no one else is around.

I can't risk my job for a chance at something more...can I? But I don't know how to resist him much longer either...

Off Limits!  Do Not Pass Go!  Stop!  Abort!  Oops!

Simon Travers knows it is a big cliche, but this single dad has got it bad for his daughter's hot nanny. Abby is sweet, funny, smart, and honest. She's amazing with his five year old daughter, Hayden. And she is beautiful and sexy...and Oh so very Off Limits!

Abby works really hard to keep her attraction to her dreamy boss hidden. He's handsome, charismatic, kind. witty, intelligent, and a wonderful, attentive father.  He is the ultimate hot single dad...and it is forbidden or at least a really bad idea...

These two have sizzling sexual tension and their interactions are intense even when discussing mundane topics, It is like the air is charged around them whenever they are together. They both have hidden crushes and are afraid of voicing them and risking their professional situation. But it just builds and builds. And I knew once they touched, they would just combust. And Holy Moly! What an epic first kiss...like seriously, panty-melting, extended first kiss.

But they definitely have some issues to deal with. Most importantly the fact he is her boss and also the potential effects it could have on his daughter. And neither really want to be the cliche of the dad sleeping with the nanny. There are reasons to fight the pull. And they do give it a good try. But with their hearts and bodies getting closer, it is harder to rule with their heads.

This is a lighter, fairly low angst, sweet, sexy, funny, and downright swoonworthy love story. It is engaging and flows well in dual points of view. The humor is more easy-going and feels natural, and it worked really well for these characters. He's more mature as a businessman and dad. And she is younger, but is intelligent, well traveled, and independent. So they do act more mature, but also have times of pure adorkableness and fun and flirty banter. And they really do have volatile chemistry and strong needs. They have good intentions to do what is "right." But doing what some would consider "wrong" just feels so right.

I totally adored Simon. LOVED him! He is the epitome of the perfect guy...the one women would like to date and marry, and guys would want to hang out with. He was not always perfect in the past, but he learned from his mistakes. He is charming, giving, loving, loyal, sweet, and sexy-as-hell (yes, the title totally fits him). He knows what he wants. He might be nervous, scared, and confused since the fear of unrequited love or lust for someone who you count on is a big risk. But he is not one of those guys that is afraid of love or commitment. And if being the ultimate man is not enough incentive to make you join the Simon fan club, his  relationship with his daughter is just heart melting.

And Abby is vibrant, sassy, caring, sensitive, and a nurturer. She loves kids, animals, and spending any little moments with Simon or his daughter. She gets excited by simple things like good cake and baby birds. She is real, honest, and outspoken. I loved her too.

Will they? Won't they? Can they? Should they?!  It's lust, attraction, hidden feelings, and a bit of hope that could shake up their controlled world. But they keep finding more reasons to like being together rather than to encourage more resistance. They are two good, likable people that deserve each other despite their tricky circumstances. I was totally rooting for them to figure out their issues and situation.

This can be read as a complete stand alone. But I love getting cameos in Lauren's books, so getting to see some from recent stories made me smile. There is a bit of a tie in with Mister O so fans of that series might recognize Simon. I hope to see more of Simon's friend, Tyler too. I loved their bro-like friendship and manly banter.

Overall this was a perfect read when you want something delightful to make your heart melt, your pulse race, smile, and swoon. Yes, I swooned for Simon aka the "Chris Hemsworth" dad. I totally did. I want one. Can I trade my husband in?

Simon is The Sexy One, the single dad all the nannies try to flirt with. Not only is he hot, he is involved in his daughter’s activities and she is the center of his world.

Abby lucked out when she landed this nanny job six months ago. Her 5 year old charge is cute and fun, and the dad is easy to look at. But that’s the only problem: keeping her attraction under wraps because she needs this job.

I loved Simon when we met him in Well Hung, and couldn’t wait for his story. I was not a fan of his ex, and loved the contrast between her and Abby. I love how devoted Simon ws to keeping Harper as his priority and the choices he makes as he recognizes when work begins to take over once again.

Abby is smart and savvy, and though she didn’t intend to fall for her boss, I love the way she handled it. She is very conscious of every change in their relationship and carefully weighs the risks rather than jumping in blindly.

It doesn’t take long (in the story) for these two to acknowledge that there is more between them than just Harper. The spark that each notices quickly grows when it is acknowledged and the flame between them is hot.

Both loved Harper throughout the story, though she was not the glue that bound them together. Often in single dad stories, it is mutual concern for the child that causes the main characters to explore a relationship. I loved that this felt like an organic relationship that would have emerged had they met under different circumstances. While she was the reason they met and a cause for them to spend time together, as their relationship grew, Harper was not the center of the feelings between them.

This was such a cute, fun, sexy story, and one I was anticipating. Once again, Lauren has built a rich, believable world with characters that stand-alone, but overlap in subtle ways. A couple stories are teased throughout this book, and I am looking forward to both Gabriel’s novella, The Only One, and Tyler’s The Hot One.

“I want to talk to you about the other day.” He sounds so serious.

All of a sudden, the weight of my mistake crashes down. “Are you firing me?” I blurt out.

His jaw drops. “What?”

“I’m sorry,” I say, and the wild anxieties consume me once more. “I love this job, and I love working with Hayden, and I didn’t mean to jeopardize it by . . .”

By making out with you? By touching you? By murmuring your name when you kissed me senseless in the cab, and would you please just do it again?

He steps closer. My stomach makes like a skydiver.

“You did not jeopardize a thing. I’m not firing you. I promise.” His blue eyes are locked to mine. “I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable. And I hope I didn’t lose you, either. You’re so good at what you do, and I value your skills so much. You’re great with Hayden, and I don’t want to mess that up. I’m sorry for crossing the line.”

I shake my head. “It’s okay. I crossed it, too.”

He licks his lips. “And I really appreciated you inviting me out with your friends. I wanted to go, but I didn’t want to mess up your night. I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

A grin threatens to take over my face because my heart soars. I thought he was turning me down. Instead, he was thinking of me. “You wouldn’t have messed it up.”

“I wouldn’t have?”

“No.” I latch onto Harper’s advice. Talk to him. “I wanted you there.”

My breath comes fast, and the hairs on my arms stand on end. We’re so near to each other—our words, our voices, our bodies. Everything in me reaches for him.

“I’m glad,” he whispers.

“And you don’t make me uncomfortable. I promise.”

He doesn’t say anything in response. Just nods. I press my teeth into my lips. My back is against the sink, and he’s standing so close I can smell him. The faint scent of his soap intoxicates me. He must have gone to the gym after work and taken a shower, and oh God, now I’m imagining him naked in the shower, soaping up his strong body. I go up in flames.

“What happened in the cab was”—he pauses, as if he’s searching for the right word—“crazy.” But the way he says it in a voice full of longing doesn’t sound like crazy-bad. It sounds like . . .

“Crazy-good,” I supply.

He nods. “So good,” he whispers, and inches closer.

“It was so good,” I echo, my voice breathy, full of this potent need for him.

He stares at me, his eyes brimming with heat. I exhale, and my lips part slightly. He’s looking at my mouth now, and I’m burning all over.

We collide.

His hands are in my hair, and his lips crush mine. My fingers race up his shirt and around his neck. I pull him against me, his strong, hard body aligned with mine. His erection presses against my belly, and the realization that he’s already hard thrills me. Sparks fly through me as I register how hard he is, and my God, I want him. I want to feel him slide into me, I want to take him deep into my body. I want him to know what he does to me, too—that I’m as turned on as he is, and I can’t stop kissing him.

His big hands curl around my head, and I moan into his mouth. I love how much bigger he is than I am—taller, broader, stronger. He meets every primal desire I have to be taken. I want this man to consume me. I want to be under him, I want to be pinned by him—I want the full weight of him moving over me.

His lips are demanding, coaxing out more and more kisses from me. More murmurs, more sighs. As I arch into him, he groans, rough and husky.

Then, he breaks the kiss.

“This is bad,” he says firmly, his breath coming heavily. But then, he’s not so certain at all. “Is this bad?”

“Yes,” I answer quickly. “It’s bad. But it’s so good.”
