Nicole Parsons had the perfect life, made complete with the suburban home and the proverbial white picket fence. When tragedy struck and she lost the most important people in her life, she turned away from everything she loved before; shutting out every reminder of the perfect life she lost.

It has been one year, three months, one week and six days since the accident; and Nicole is ready to stop counting the days she’s survived, and begin living again.

On a dare from her best friend, Nicole encounters Zack Walters - the popular alternative rock star and man who signifies so much of her past – and suddenly everything in Nicole’s safe and quiet life changes.

When she’s forced to face the pain she’s carried for so long, will she truly be able to heal from her past and begin to live again?

Or will her new adventure ruin her completely?

Book 2: Just One Love(Mia and Chase's story): Goodreads coming Fall 2013
The girl in front of me with the pouty red lips and chocolate brown hair is a blurred image of the girl I used to be and I'm so tired of seeing her every day. I hate this girl-an outer shell of who I was who wears her despair all over her face.

Nicole has stopped really living and is just existing. She has suffered a tragic loss and just cannot seem to move on. One night she spontaneously she takes the first step and it ends up changing her whole life. She goes to a bar with her best friend Mia who dares her talk to a guy...and she meets Zack. Turns out Zack is no ordinary guy...he is a popular rock star that was just trying not to get noticed. Nic is so out of the loop that she does not realize who he is at first and that immediately interests Zack.

Nic is strong despite what she has been through, but she was stuck between the past and present and cannot even think of the future. Her friend Mia has been by her side and pushes her to reenter life and take a chance on Zack. I loved sassy, adventurous Mia. She is the best friend that we all want to have. She is like a sister, a true confidante,   kicks her ass when needed, and is always there to support her or challenge her. Mia just keeps pushing her along and before she knows it, she is attending concerts, backstage, and eventually on a tour bus and getting closer to Zack. But can she really let go of the past and fears and move forward?

Zack...Oh my! He is perfect! A rock star with a heart of gold. Every girls wants a piece of him. He is hot, sexy, talented, rich, and famous.  But the real Zack is patient, loving, caring, and not afraid to share his feelings. He is not pretentious or arrogant, but is sweet, down to Earth, and charming. And he knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it.

This girl is going to take some time and for some strange reason, I'm willing  to wait for her to be ready.

I'm the luckiest man alive and I don't care if it makes me sound like a girl. I love her.

Together they are simply adorable, passionate, loving, and truly shared an amazing connection. Zack can read her like a book and see what she needs when the world gets too much for her. He understands her fears, insecurities, and pain from the past. And he is an understanding, caring support to her. And Nic gives Zack the love that he has been craving and a chance to be a man and not a Rock God. They just fit despite their different backgrounds and lifestyles. And they do have some common interests as well.

"I don't know if I can give you my whole heart Zack. They have so much of it already."
"If you can give me half as much as I love you, it will be more than enough."

And the band mates Chase, Jake, and Garrett are fun, lively, and supportive. I cannot wait for the next book Just One Love that will continue the relationship of Chase and Mia that we saw sort of developing in this one. And I have an inkling that we will see Jake get his love match and I have a theory on who his mate might end up being. All of the side characters had strong personalities and were completely endearing in their own ways.  I got attached to each one of them.

Their journey was not always easy. They had challenges to face in the present and nightmares from the past. And their lives were very different. But it was a sweet story of second chances and new beginnings. This story illustrated the importance of appreciating what you have, showing people you love them, and living life to the fullest. It was tragic, sad, emotional, sweet, heartwarming, and inspiring. The characters were well developed, likable, and showed such personal growth. This story has unique plot elements, underlying emotional issues, and and flowed effortlessly. She writes in an engaging style with humor, depth, emotion, and passion. An amazing debut from Stacey Lynn.
