Reckless Weekend was created to expand the stories of previous novels. I didn't want Mitch & Alana or Blake & Gabi's romance taking over another band members story, so that was why this novella was created. The only problem is that you need to have read Reckless Beat 1 & 2 to enjoy Reckless Weekend to its maximum potential.
The novella is a whole heap of fun, sarcasm, and drama - probably the most dramatic story I've written because some of it hits close to home.

The guys stared at him with varying degrees of disbelief and annoyance—Sean, Mason, their two bodyguards, even Ryan wasn’t impressed. The one person who didn’t seem pissed was Blake, who sat on the couch across from him, legs crossed at the ankles and a knowing grin tilting his lips.
“What are you smiling at?” Sean jutted his chin at Blake. “Did you get laid or somethin’?”
Blake shook his head. “I wish. I spent the last six days in Richmond with grumpy-ass here.” He jerked his thumb in Mason’s direction. “When I got home, Gabi was surfin’ the crimson tide, so I couldn’t get lucky if I tried.”
“So what’s with the smirk?” Ryan asked.
Blake outstretched his arms along the back of the lounge. “Can’t a guy be happy to spend quality time with his friends?”
“You know what’s on the list, don’t you?” Mitch asked, dread growing in his gut. Blake was the only person at the bachelor party who knew the honeymoon issues were fake. Yet there was something more to the gleam in his best friend’s eyes.
“Gabi may have given me a hint or two.” Blake turned his gaze to Mason. “And why the hell do you have your panties in a bunch about the Brazilian? Didn’t we put the same thing on the list for the ladies?”
“There’s a big fucking difference, bro,” Mason huffed. “Women get their shit waxed all the time.”
Sean cleared his throat. “I’ll do it.”
Stunned silence followed.
Mitch turned his attention to Sean along with everyone else in the room.
“What?” Sean frowned, lowering his gaze to the glass in his hands. “I’ve had it done before. No big deal.”
“You’ve had it done before,” Mason repeated, emphasizing the words with slow deliberation. “You’ve had the hair ripped from your balls, just for the hell of it?”
“It’s not like it’s all pain and no gain. I’ll get my pole smoked afterward.”
“Beauty therapists aren’t whores. You know that, right?” Ryan asked. “A blow job isn’t part of the deal.”
Sean shrugged. “They’ve never let me down before.”
“OK.” Blake drawled with widened eyes. “So we’ve determined who’ll get kicked out of the beauty salon first. What else is on the list?”
It's a wild bachelor/ette weekend in Vegas with the Reckless Beat gang. Mitch and Alana are supposed to be celebrating, but stress is getting to them. Mitch wants Allie to let loose. She just wants the wedding to go off without a hitch. A crazy set of party challenges sets off a competitive girls vs. boys night full of fun and hijinks.This crew is so crazy and so much fun. They are doing things they never expected and taunting each other along the way. There are some hot encounters and funny situations. But there are also interpersonal issues and rivalries simmering under the surface.
And of course the weekend would not be complete without some drama. Gabi is upset about something and afraid to ruin everyone's fun. She and Blake have a few things to work out themselves. And Mitch and Alana are trying to hold it together during all of the craziness. And Mason always seems to stir up something. But this group is there for each other when it counts and really are a pseudo-family. We share some happy, sweet moments...and some hilarious ones...and some emotional and sexy ones too. This continues Alana, Mitch, Blake and Gabi's stories while teasing us a bit with the other characters. The banter is sarcastic and fun, the feelings are real, and there is definitely a steam factor. And all of this is just the lead in for the wedding.
This was a fun, sexy, emotional, sweet, and romantic novella. I enjoyed getting more with the couples from Blind Attraction and Passionate Addiction and seeing the continued progression in their relationships. This was told in multiple points of view of all of the main characters so we got to see into many of their heads. The guys are hot and full of personality. The girls are sassy and tough enough to take them on. When they fall, they fall hard and don't let go. I am looking forward to more with the rest of the band Ryan, Sean and Mason. And also their manager, Leah and Allie's friend, Kate. And I am even wondering if a new woman we met in this one, Maree might be back(she and a certain man had some chemistry). I can't wait to see who is the next to fall in the next book in the series.

I have read Blind Attraction and purchased Passionate Addiction but I haven't had a chance to read it yet.
