Revenge is an euphoric thing. Trust me on this. Nothing compares to the release you get when you ruin someone’s life. When they’ve stolen important things. Things that didn’t belong to them. Things I revel in making them pay for.
What? Have I offended you? I’m not here to appeal to your delicate senses. I have no intention of placating your wishes or living within your personal belief system nor do I care if you hate me. And you will hate me. Because I’m a brutal, savage, cold-blooded murderer and I’m here for my revenge.
I’m Ethan Moonsong...And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most sacrificing man to the most feared and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
Okay, so you’ve read
FURY and you’re motivated to help.
I get it but before I
continue, I just want to say that I’m proud to call you a reader of mine. Many
times, I think, my readers underestimate what they mean to me, especially
because I don’t have the ability to have the online presence I’d like to have
but can’t because I have small children. Let me just clarify that I would be
nothing without you. You are part of this greatness that is the human
experience and I just want you to know that I am so happy to have you be a part
of mine. I like to brag that my readers are the best out there and I don’t
think it’s because I’m particularly partial, either. I mean, I am partial, of
course, but my readers really do seem to be the most intelligent lot. The reviews
alone are eloquent enough for me to wonder if they’re all just born writers,
bursting to find their niche. And since writers and readers are very much a
feeling lot, it’s not surprising that you want to contribute toward ending the
problem of child sex exploitation and human trafficking. You are, after all,
the very best of human beings.
To give you a little
back story on how I even came about the topic, I’ll begin by summarizing how I
happened upon the charity that started it all for me. One Body Village is a
tiny Vietnamese ran organization that fundraises to combat the horrors that are
child sex slavery by coming to America and holding events that inform locals of
the devastations happening in Vietnam. They don’t sugarcoat, they inform you
with the truth, but they also speak with hope. But they only put together these
fundraisers in select cities, a few times a year. It just so happened that one
day my mom mentioned in passing their organization, knowing my passion for
helping children no one else really helps or has no clue even exist and since
she knew me so well, I immediately looked up the organization. I was utterly
devastated by the journals I read, the facts that were presented, and the
horrors in the pictures I would never, ever want to show anyone who wasn’t
willing to risk severe depression. And once I saw it, I could not forget it. I
was determined to help. I checked their calendar and it just so happened that I
lived close by to one of the rare fundraising events they held annually and it was
for the following week. I can honestly say that it felt like divine
intervention. So my mom came to babysit and I willingly/unwillingly attended
the event and the rest is FURY history.
I tried very hard to
keep the gravity of the horrors of everything I found, researched, and
discovered about the atrocities happening to those children in FURY. After all,
FURY is a love story first and foremost and a story of redemption but I simply
wasn’t going to diminish the pain they felt. I needed people to see that
because I was determined for people to want to intervene.
Which is where we find
ourselves now and I adore you for it.
But this doesn’t mean
that you have to know intimately the tragedies. You just have to know they
exist and be willing to help.
So dig into your pockets
and pull out a little something for these children. Contribute to a future of
possibilities for them because a little bit of money can help tremendously when
we all pitch in together. A thousand pebbles, big splash, and all that. :D
Thank you so much for
having me! I’m touched and honored that you allowed me to speak with you today!
Peace and Love,
Fisher
