I'm in trouble. Again. And instead of facing my problems head on, I've run away. Far away this time, and no one can catch me--not my two younger sisters, Violet and Rose, not my father, my grandmother, or that witch Pilar who wants to take control of my family's cosmetics company. Now I'm in Hawaii, enjoying the sun and the sand and water, where nobody knows the hot mess known as Lily Fowler. And I'm loving every minute of it.

But someone is watching me. Following me. He's gorgeous. And soon we're talking, and against all my instincts, I reveal bits and pieces of myself to Max. It feels good, though I know he can't be the man for me. These sudden feelings we share are way too complicated, too fraught, too intense.

Then everything explodes and I'm forced to return home. My intentions have always been true, but now everyone's mad at me. I don't know who to turn to anymore . . . except to Max. He's who I want to trust. But I'm not so sure I should. Maybe it's worth the risk--and what-ifs be damned. . . .

Lily Fowler has once again found herself in a bit of a mess. She has done something she shouldn't and knows more than she should. So she is now hiding out in a tropical paradise until she can figure out how to address the situation.

She is the oldest Fowler sister and not really involved in the family cosmetic business. She's always been seen as the wild child and party girl. She's a girl with a Daddy complex and does not do attachments. She likes to control what she can. She has always been the runner and she avoids getting close by pushing others away and hides her true self under a facade. Lily's never been really felt taken care of or had someone truly on her side. Underneath she is a broken woman who craves attention and love, but has learned that negative attention is at least some attention.

Max Coleman was hired to do a job. It should be pretty simple. But he never anticipated being so fascinated with Lily. He finds himself riding the line between what he was hired to do and what he wants to do. They have serious sexual tension and chemistry.

He is a dirty-talker, bossy, and likes control, but she brings out his more spontaneous side. While he makes her feel safe and more willing to submit and be taken care of. They dance around control and submission. They challenge each other and break down barriers, but at the same time both have secrets.  They have a raging need pulsing between them that constantly consumes them.

But there are secrets, lies, and ulterior motives between them. Eventually someone will be betrayed in some way. How bad will the fall out be on their lives and those that Lily cares about? Her whole family's future could be affected by her mistakes and choices.
This one ties up some story lines that have been running through the whole series. It gives us a resolved ending and finally all three sisters have had their stories told. Violet and Ryder, Rose and Caden, their father and Pilar are all featured in this story too. I was anxiously awaiting for the culmination of the Pilar story line since we have been waiting three books for it and I was a little disappointed since it seemed a bit rushed in its conclusion.

It was told in dual point of view which was really important since they were hiding so much from each other. I really liked Lily more than I thought I would based on the previous books and I liked Max as well. I will admit even though they were hot together and some aspects of the sex also showed their growth together,  I felt like the sex kind of took over the story at times. It follows the similar theme of the other two books with a hero who starts out with ulterior motives but finds himself conflicted once he meets the Fowler sister. But overall it was a steamy read with a bit of suspense and an emotional bite as two broken people find each other and try to navigate their various issues.

Lily Fowler is the wild child. The unpredictable one. The irresponsible life of the party. But when her hobby finds her threatened, she hops a plane to Maui, determined to figure out her next move while keeping out of the public eye.

Max Coleman is hired to get the laptop Lily is traveling with. His client claims it has something that doesn’t belong to Lily on it, and his objective is to get it back. But as he watches Lily, he realizes that this may not be as easy a job as he anticipated.

While these two should have been polar opposites, and on the surface are, the attraction between them is fast and hot. From the time Lily knows him only as “her watcher” to after first names are exchanged, these two always seem to know when the other is nearby.

But after Max decides he needs to investigate from closer and they fall into bed, it is almost as if they each forget what drew them to Maui in the first place. They are entirely consumed by their physical attraction and lust. There was so much sex in the first half of the book that I found myself skimming portions to move the story along.

But the last half of the book gave my mind more to work with than the first half spent in bed. I was intrigued by the skills that landed Lily in hot water to begin with, and couldn’t help but want to know if and how Max would be able to complete his mission and keep Lily for himself. They each carry secrets and tell half truths during their vacation fling, but the pull between them is strong.
This book not only serves as Lily and Max’s story, but also as a wrap up to the business upheaval that has been brewing throughout the rest of this series. While the ending happened quickly and rather abruptly, it did tie up all those questions that have been developing since we met the Fowler family, Pilar, and all the other main players back in the very first book.

The Fowler sisters are New York City’s darlings, heiresses to the Fleur Cosmetics Empire. Quickly put up on a fame hungry pedestal only for the media to lie in wait, eager to tear them down, these three very different young women soon find love in the most unexpected places…

Violet Fowler is the good sister. She works hard at her family’s cosmetics company, is faithful to her boyfriend and never causes any trouble. Until Zachary disappoints her yet again with a promotion that will take him to London—and away from her. His leaving sets a new fire within her. What’s the point in being so good when no one else ever is?

Someone within Fleur Cosmetics wants that London promotion and will do anything to get it, including throwing temptation in the path of the not-so-faithful Zachary. Ryder McKay came from nothing and has fought every step of the way to his position at Fleur. And now the mysterious charmer has set his sights on Violet. If it worked for Zachary, it could work for him.

Seducing the good Fowler sister is easy. What Ryder doesn’t count on is how much Violet makes him feel. What started out as revenge soon becomes something deeper. Can Ryder go through with his plans to deceive Violet? Or is he only deceiving himself?

People say the youngest child has it easy, but nothing can be further from the truth. Unlike my two sisters, Violet and Lily, I’m never in the limelight. I just work my butt off for Fleur Cosmetics and get little to no thanks for it. I’ve been pushed too far one too many times, and I’m finally brave enough to do something about it.

Maybe my newfound courage has something to do with the amazing pink and white diamond necklace I wear to the party in Cannes. The instant those dazzling heirloom jewels touch my skin, they excite some deep, aching need inside. And when that guy—that totally gorgeous guy—locks eyes with me, I know this nice girl is going to be naughty.

For once it’s my turn. My turn to say no to my father, to outshine my sisters, to walk away from it all—straight into the arms of a mysterious stranger. But what if Caden is much more than I bargained for? Sure, he makes me feel sexy and free in a way I never have before, but there’s something else I can’t quite place—something dangerous. Maybe our “chance” meeting wasn’t so random. Maybe he was looking for me for a reason. Whatever his motive, there’s no going back now.

And maybe I don’t want to.
