Sela is haunted by her past, seeking vengeance she hopes will set her free. When she can’t get close enough to her target alone, she puts herself close to his business partner, Beck North, in order to get the opening she needs. But as she tries to find an in with JT, she realizes what she has with Beck might be worth more than her need for vengeance.

These two were sexy and smart together. The chemistry was smoking between them, even during their first meeting. Things quickly combusted, leaving both in a new place wondering if there could be more between them. I loved the way Beck treated Sela no differently than if they had met under more traditional circumstances, and didn’t treat her differently because she came from a less affluent background than he.

This story kept me on my toes. From the moment Beck and Sela meet, I couldn’t help but wonder how her secrets would come out, and just what Beck might know about the night that haunts her.

Told in alternating points of view, readers know everything Sela knows about the two men and watch as her feelings toward Beck change, but they also see how Beck’s change as well. As they get to know each other, but as a result of Sugar Daddy and beyond, it became clear that nothing is as clear as either would have it appear.

The cliff at the end was in a perfect spot to leave readers wanting more, wanting that next page, that next interaction. I cannot wait for more from Beck and Sela, especially given the results of those final pages. So many new questions were raised as well as situations that will have consequences.

This is one of those books that you should probably just go in blind then go with the flow. It's by Sawyer Bennett so you know the writing will be engaging and interesting.

This is unique, intriguing, and sexy. It is sweet at times, but also has some harsh truths and revenge themes. It is told in dual points of view. And the author is clear that it ends in a cliffhanger and this couple has two more books  coming titled Sugar Rush and Sugar Free.
