Christmas at the Murphy household has always been a big deal, but with her daughters getting older, Kacie Murphy is feeling a bit sentimental, so she decides to give her family the perfect Christmas.
Plans of cookie baking, sleigh ride taking, and snowman making are quickly put in jeopardy when Kacie receives devastating news—her mom has sold the beloved Cranberry Inn.
Not one to let his wife stay sad for long, hockey hunk and husband extraordinaire, Brody Murphy, hatches the ultimate surprise to save Kacie’s perfect Christmas.
When fate and the weather threaten his plans once again, Brody, Viper and Andy might just have to phone in a favor to Santa himself to save Christmas at the Cranberry Inn.
*This low-angst, heartwarming novella of family and Christmas is the final farewell of the Cranberry Inn gang that readers have grown to love over the years.
This series is just addictive. And any time Beth gives us another little shot, it induces instant happiness. These characters have embedded themselves into my heart and I cannot get enough.
This story brings us back to the Murphy family at Christmas. Kacie is determined to have the perfect Christmas before the twins get any older and Brody wants to help make it happen. But some surprising news puts a damper on the Christmas spirit.
But Brody has spent their relationship trying to make Kacie's life better, and with the help of some good friends, he is determined to surprise her with some Christmas magic. But it would not be a Cranberry Inn book without a bit of drama, a little suspense, and a bunch of laughter, love, chaos, and swoony romance.
I was totally swept up into this novella and I loved getting the multiple points of view. All of our friends are back and part of this story. There are such wonderful heroes throughout this series. Brody...the hottest and sweetest guy who makes your heart melt. Viper...the mischievous bad boy who is also oh so good and is always entertaining. And Andy...the one who tries to stay in control and to keep them in check. And then there are the sassy women who have won their hearts and made families with them. I was so happy to spend more time with them and see a little more into their futures. And some other lovable side characters are present as well. I adore this group so much and enjoy their banter and dynamic interactions.
It was a novella, but packed quite a bit in and felt like a perfect holiday epilogue for this series. It had me captivated, laughing, crying, and totally swooning. I had a huge smile on my face when I was done.
Thanks Beth for giving me the rest of the story I didn't even realize these characters needed. But now it really does feel more complete...unless perhaps we see some more books with their offspring later on. This was just what I needed to put me more in the Christmas spirit, and to say goodbye to these beloved characters...at least for now. This made my heart so happy!
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
As the story progresses and challenges arise to foil both Kacie and Brody’s plans for the perfect Christmas, the closeness of these Wild brothers and their wives is reinforced by the lengths they go to in order to fix things. I loved watching Brodie, Viper, and Andy jump through hoop after hoop in order to give their families a perfect Christmas -- and things are stacked against them! As each of their personalities drive their actions and reactions, hilarity fills the pages even as they scramble to get home for Christmas.
There is so much news shared within these pages that leave all the couples and families in great places for the future. While there was a lot of activity, the drama level was low -- everything that happened to make things difficult for these beloved characters was outside of their immediate control. They did not create the drama, only reacted to events around them. I loved each piece of information that comes out during the course of this book. While it was bittersweet to turn to that last page, I love the closure this novella gives the series.
