More Of You
A.L. Jackson

My daddy warned me never to fall for a boy like Jace Jacobs . . .

The second I saw him walk through the door, I knew he was trouble.

A gorgeous rebel with a bad attitude and a huge chip on his shoulder.

My heart warned me. I didn’t listen. I saw something protective and good beneath the fierce, tough exterior.

I fell hard and fast.

He promised we’d be together forever, and then left me with a broken heart.

Now, ten years later, Jace Jacobs is standing at my door.

Sexier than he’s ever been.

Provocative and commanding.

Successful and powerful.

The man I always knew he would become.

But I promised myself I’d never lose my heart to him again.

Even time couldn’t dim our chemistry. One glance of his intense eyes, and I become weak. One
brush of his hand, and he brings me to my knees.

Little do I know, Jace holds the key to everything I’ve lost and everything that threatens my future.

Now he will either save me, or he will break me all over again . . .

More of You – a Confessions of the Heart second-chance, stand-alone romance

A note from A.L. Jackson:
My loves!! It's here - the first stand-alone novel in my new CONFESSIONS OF THE HEART series. Oh my gosh, I have to confess, MORE OF YOU absolutely stole my heart.

Writing Jace and Faith's story was one of my best experiences as an author. Their story poured out of me, their chemistry so intense and palpable that the words burned inside and came to life in a way I'd never imagined!

It's intense.
It's sexy.
It's suspenseful.
It's packed with all the feels.
It's everything and more that I'd hoped it be.
I fell so hard for MORE OF YOU, and I know you will, too.

Are you ready for my newest romance?

More of You is a story about the trials and tribulations of love, betrayal, and second chances. One that focuses on two lost, broken souls. Jace Jacobs and Faith Avery. Two individuals so in love with each other. The kind of love that only comes around once in a lifetime. True Love. Soulmates. Their path written in the stars. Destiny calling their name.

Or so they thought...

By a cruel twist of fate, their future changes within a moment’s notice. They were no longer destined to spend the rest of their lives together. Unexpectedly finding themselves on an abruptly different path from the one they both dreamed of. One betrayed. One sacrificing everything. Both fractured beyond belief. With no hope of recovery.

It’s been a decade since they’ve laid eyes on each other. Ten years of unanswered questions. Ten years of built up anger, animosity, and mourning. Ten years of regret, longing, and anguish. Ten years of pretending. Ten very, very long years of loving the person who owns your entire being from afar.

Jace and Faith, although they’ve moved on without each other, are far from living. There is nothing whole about either of our protagonists. They’re existing enough to survive, weighed down by their past history and a love that once was consuming them. Telling themselves that they are fine without the other; they are exactly where they need to be. Until that lovely thing called fate steps in and they find themselves face to face again.

Will they be able to forgive and forget? Will the past haunt them forever?

Let the angst of battered, bleeding hearts begin, especially as the cold hard truth of broken promises, broken hearts, lies, and secrets press in on them, causing old memories/feelings to resurface. Jace and Faith are about to confront their past head on.

Told through past and present, dual point of view, we learn of the events and obstacles that severed Jace and Faith. The day Jace walked away without even a glance back, with no true explanation. It truly was heartrending; the selfless act and the taking away of Faith’s ability to decide if she could handle the hurdles, or if she even want to. My heart broke for her. I wanted the answers as bad as she did. I needed the reason for why Jace would so callously shred her heart. Little did I know the answer would break me.

Damn you, Jace Jacobs! Why did you have to be so damn noble?! I wanted to stay pissed at you, in solidarity with Faith. Our girl was so wronged. Her life flipped upside down, due to your disregard. I wanted you to fucking grovel (not that you didn't), but it turned out you really didn't have reason to. And, I'm not ashamed to admit I cried like a big ol' baby when everything was revealed. How can you stay pissed at someone for trying to do what they thought was best, protecting those they love?

While I loved Faith (and you will, too), Jace totally made this book, for me. Everything about him was captivating. His sacrifices. His loyalty and devotion. His ability to love with every ounce of his soul. His ability to put others before himself, even when it left him empty, shattered, and browbeaten. His lack of self-worth/regard. I think this may have been what endeared me the most, especially since he was all kinds of perfection, even as flawed as he was.

I seriously can't wait for you to meet the players of the new Confessions of the Heart series, especially little Bailey. She was the absolute sweetest three-year-old. She'll win you over in a heartbeat, just as she did Jace; who by the way wanted nothing to do with her, at first. A.L. Jackson has a knack for writing families and the real, raw, gritty dynamics of those families.

Once again A.L. Jackson proves why she's one of my Unicorn Authors. There was just so much delicious, goodness between these pages; romance, second chances, angst, suspense, love, and friendship. All of the best ingredients for a great story, in my opinion. If you love stories with lots of rich character and dimension, I totally recommend one clicking! Hell, I highly recommend one clicking all of her books!
