This can totally be read as a stand alone, but parallels the time frame with One Wild Night. One night changed the lives of two best friends as each found their own Hollywood heart throb. This is Elle Ward's story. On her way to her director father's awards show, Elle had a bit of an accident with an underwear model.

Kassius Cowen did not expect for an angel to come crashing into his life, but he decides he wants her to stay. And he will use her own guilt to get to spend some time with her. He is gorgeous, charming, sweet, and persistent.

There is some tension, frustration, temptation, and excitement. Kass seems to know just what he wants, but Elle is not that easy to pin down. She is not forthcoming about her real life. She is so fearful and untrusting of men, especially actors. Even though he seems like a truly nice and honest guy, she tries to resist and keep her walls up. But Kass is determined to break them down little by little.

But when their worlds truly collide, her secrets will be exposed. She is always expecting the worst and has so many doubts that Kass will have his work cut out to prove his true intentions.

This brings back Pax and Kaylee, and Elle's parents from One Wild Night and a squeeworthy cameo from another series. It is a fast-paced, sweet, swoony, and flirty Hollywood romance with humor, feels, and a bit of angst. I enjoyed getting dual points of view. They had fun banter and chemistry. I adored Kass. He managed to be cocky and humble, adorable, and sexy all at the same time. I liked Elle's strength and independence too even though I wanted to shake sense into her at times. But I could also understand her issues.

This is another light, fun, and smile-inducing installment. Both of these Wild stories involved letting go of fears and taking a chance that the Hollywood celebrity everyone wants might just really want them. Isn't that the fantasy we all have had at some point? If Chris Hemsworth comes knocking, I would let him in for sure. lol

Elle Ward may be connected to Hollywood, but she isn’t interested in dating actors after a bad experience left her with a broken heart and broken trust.

Kas Cowen wasn’t looking for a relationship, but when he runs into Elle (or she runs into him, literally) he is intrigued and wants more time with her. But he walks a fine line between having her and chasing her away, simply by following his dreams.

Elle is a little on the flighty side, despite having her own successful career. This aspect of her character was already established, and is reinforced throughout the opening of this book. But she is also determined and independent, which are traits she clings to they get to know each other.

Kas is swoony in his attention to Elle. I loved his dedication, though at times it did feel like he was moving very fast for the amount of time he had known Elle.

This mirrors the timeline of One Wild Night, with scenes echoing events from Elle’s perspective, but can absolutely stand alone. There were actually times I wished for a little more crossover simply to connect where in the “grand scheme” Elle and Kas’s events were falling. I wished it was a little more in several places, actually, as it read really quickly and felt short for a novel. But I loved seeing Kaylee and Pax again, as well as several other of the side characters. Elle’s parents played an interesting role in this book as well, and I enjoyed their interactions.

Overall, this was a sweet, fast read with a lot of heart. It was a fun continuation of this series, and I particularly enjoyed seeing what exactly kept Elle from attending her father’s premier in One Wild Night.
