New York Times bestselling author Meghan March continues the story of ruthless, calculating billionaire Jericho Forge in Luck of the Devil.

My poker face has always been one of my greatest assets, along with my grit and determination. I was beholden to no one. Asked permission for nothing.
Then Jericho Forge took my life by storm.
I traded my freedom for something infinitely more precious, but I didn’t realize he was holding an unbeatable hand.
Now, all I have to do is survive the high-stakes game that is my life—with my heart intact.
But not falling in love with Forge? That will take the luck of the devil.

Luck of the Devil is the second book of the Forge Trilogy, and should be read following Deal with the Devil. The Forge Trilogy concludes in Heart of the Devil.

There is not much I can say about this book without spoilers, but here it goes. This book continues Forge and Indy's story. Indy has to decide who to believe between the least of  two evils. Lies are unraveling, unspoken truths are being revealed, and hidden agendas are coming into focus. But there are also still a lot of unanswered  questions and unknown or shifting motivations.

India is a survivor who has landed on her feet more times than she can count. And after getting though some recent drama, is just looking for safety, stability, and security. She is strong, independent, smart, confident, and witty. She loves to challenge Jericho Forge, the imposing man who just blew into her life and totally shook it up.

Forge is usually seen as a ruthless billionaire focused on revenge and money. But there is something about India that distracts and fascinates him, and makes him also want to protect her. He had reasons for the choices he made in regards to her, but he is also realizing that he is not ready to let her go either. So not only is Forge making deals with others, he is now dealing with Indy too. And she is just about a good a negotiator as he is.

This is the middle ground where they are exploring the different facets of the other and fitting into each other's lives while also dealing with external drama. It is hard to tell what is real and what is part of a bigger game. Trust is still a huge issue for these two, and if they could conquer that then they might just have a chance if they are willing to take a risk on something that could be dangerous to their hearts.

The hidden agendas and changing motivations keep it interesting. And there are plenty of threats and antagonists wanting to cause trouble for both of them, so neither is safe. They are just trying to keep ahead of the situations, do damage control, stay protected, and figure out how all the pieces fit together.

This is fast paced, intense, sexy, intriguing, and suspenseful. There is so much push and pull between them. There is angst, drama, frustration, and they both have a definite learning curve. I have totally fallen for Jericho Forge. I loved seeing some of his layers start peeling away. There might actually be a functioning heart under his stoic and barbed exterior. I enjoyed seeing his sarcastic wit and personality break through. And India is tough, feisty, smart, and confident enough to push back at him. But she also would love nothing more than to find a way to be safe and secure. He is determined to knock down her barriers and prove it is possible. But there are people watching and waiting for them to make a mistake.

Cameos from other couples make me so happy. I especially love that Forge and Creighton Karas have a bit of a bromance. And the OMFG-jaw-dropping ending left me speechless! My mind is still reeling with possibilities!  I cannot freaking wait for the end of this trilogy. I am so attached and invested in this couple! I cannot wait for everything to be revealed and see where their story ends up!

What can I say without spoiling this series? As usual, Meghan March has written the middle of a trilogy that both moves the overall storyline along, gives deeper insight into all of the characters, and keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Indy and Forge keep getting better. The questions continue to swirl as Indy tests out who she can and should trust. Indy must face pieces of her past she didn’t know existed, while determining if she and Forge have a stopwatch counting down their time together or if there could be more for them. There is so much going on between them and around them, that it is difficult to tell truth from lie and all the lines are blurred.

These two have so many layers, particularly Forge. Indy is such a strong, vibrant, determined character, that even as she faces new threats, she is constantly reevaluating what she knows. But it is really Forge who we see a different side of in Luck. He is just as short and demanding as always, often grating in the way he demands his way. But we also see a more protective, almost soft side as he learns to navigate Indy and her needs.

This trilogy has me constantly reevaluating my predictions, surprised at the direction the twists take each and every time. Meghan March’s trilogies always have me wanting to devour each book as soon as it arrives and savor it at the same time. They also make me wish I could speed up time to shorten the time between,, because that ending has me asking so many more questions that I thought possible.

One look at Jericho Forge and I knew the rumors were true. He was a predator, and he had set his sights on me.
