From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby…
Fallon McCarthy has climbed the corporate ladder. She’s had the office with the view, the staff, and the plaque on her door. The unexpected loss of her grandmother taught her that there’s more to life than meetings and conference calls, so she quit, and is happy to be a nomad, checking off items on her bucket list as she takes jobs teaching yoga in each place she lands in. She’s happy being free, and has no interest in being tied down.
When Noah King gets the call that an eagle has been injured, he’s not expecting to find a beautiful stranger standing vigil when he arrives. Rehabilitating birds of prey is Noah’s passion, it’s what he lives for, and he doesn’t have time for a nosy woman who’s suddenly taken an interest in Spread Your Wings sanctuary.
But Fallon’s gentle nature, and the way she makes him laugh, and feel again draws him in. When it comes time for Fallon to move on, will Noah’s love be enough for her to stay, or will he have to find the strength to let her fly?
This is another sweet and swoony love story from Cunningham Hills, Montana in the Big Sky series.
We have been watching the hot, zoologist Noah King for a while now. He and his brother, Gray are friends with all of the other characters in the series. He has deep family roots in the community and has settled down and even opened his own bird sanctuary. He is loyal, giving, kind, and charming.
Fallon McCarthy is a newer resident. She used to be a work-a-holic, but is now somewhat of a nomad, but has stayed put for two years. She now runs a yoga studio in town. She is more of a loner, introvert, and has no real family ties, but she has made a few new friends. She is sweet, funny, and caring.
When Fallon finds an injured eagle, it sparks their initial contact and leads to more time spent together. They fall into a relationship fairly easily with little angst, but the thought of permanence and family is all new for Fallon. They have great chemistry and rapport, and things seem to come along easy for them.
But will Noah be enough to make her want to really settle down in one place?
I totally adored Noah. He was so thoughtful and supportive, but also sexy, bossy, and determined. And Fallon was really sweet and good for him. There are a couple of areas of tension and drama, but overall it is a cute, sexy, and romantic read.
This brings back many of the characters we have come to love in this series. I kept trying to remember when his brother, Gray found his girlfriend mentioned in this book, and I just figured out it is in another one of these new crossover books, Hold On by Samantha Young. Now I need to read that one too.
The book is about finding a connection, support, love, home, and community. Fallon did not really know what a true family was all about until she got mixed in with the Kings, Hulls, and the rest of their group. They might be overwhelming and a bit nosy, but they are a big, close knit extended family. I love my visits to this town.
I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.
During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.
Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.
Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.
