This is the story of Lily and Finn. They are adorable together. Both are smart, funny, loving, and totally devoted. They have such a deep connection and trust for one another. They also enjoy sexy adventures in and out of their bedroom. But Lily has a dark, secret fantasy. And Finn wants to give his girl all her desires. And just who can they both trust to bring into something like that?

This is a longish novella told in multiple points of view and I really liked ALL the characters. They have strong bonds, understand, and care about each other. But they also know enough to tease each other. It is engaging, flirty, filthy, and steamy...but at the core of it is this special love that knows no bounds and a man who wants to give his girl everything she could ever want. And a woman who leads a busy professional life, but loves to push boundaries when free to do so. They are a gift to each other, and someone is about to give them another gift.

I really want more of these dynamic, dirty, after dark reads from Lauren. I actually want to see more with a couple of the side characters from this one. I think they might like some more naughtiness too. Bring them on!
Lily and Finn are engaged to be married. They have a very active, very satisfying sex life with a lot of room for creativity and play together. But Lily has a secret desire she is afraid to voice. She is afraid that she’ll finally find the limit of ways Finn is willing to experiment. Finn just wants to satisfy her every wish and make her happy. He knows she is hiding something and wants to know what she could be worried about sharing with him.

I loved the communication between these two. They are open and honest, and even though Lily is hiding a secret from Finn, she is selfless in her reasoning. Her secret won’t hurt their relationship because she doesn’t find it lacking, but rather has a curiosity that she is hesitant to reveal. But Finn is still determined to have her share her secret, even as he can sense her hesitation. They have a very open, honest physical connection as well. They are adventurous in their experiences, and nearly everything is open for experimentation.

This is a longer novella and a quick read, but it is also off the charts with steam and fire. The side characters bring a whole other level to the steam factor of this one, and their addition both added to the depth of Lily and Finn’s connection and also set up great fodder for spin off stories. Even though it is shorter, there is still a great depth to the relationship that is clear from their openness and willing to talk things out. I can’t wait for more of this flirty, steamy set of characters!
