It's been a minute since I've read anything by Laurelin Paige. I'm so glad I took a chance on the Man in Charge Duet. I absolutely adored the hell out of Sebastian and Tessa. Their journey was an easy, entertaining, captivating one with minimal angst.

Scott and Tess were fire; their chemistry and connection burned up the pages. As individuals and as a couple they were fierce! Sebastian's a true cocky, dominant, billionaire alpha and Tessa's quite the spitfire, even if she could be a little juvenile, at times. What I loved the most about her though was her loyalty, dedication and love for her best friend, Teyana. This duo was the perfect mix. Their dynamic definitely one for the books, making them one of my favorite book couples.

On top of adoring our couple, I enjoyed the little twists Paige included. The big one I kind of saw coming but that last one, not even close. Let's just say not everything is as it seems. I love when an author can surprise me.

Just an FYI, you'll want book two in your hands before you start the series. That ending in Man in Charge will have you chomping at the bit for Man in Love. I read both books in a 24 hour sitting. Paige had me craving them so much I couldn't put the books down. I devoured their trials and tribulations, their love for each other, their sweet moments along with their not so sweet ones.

Everything about this Duet made for the best read.

Any way, will obligation and duty win out over love and need? Will Sebastian and Tessa be able to overcome all of the deception and little white lies? Will the secrets become one too many? We shall see!
