A bad boy prince meets his match in this epic Tattered Royals stand-alone romance.
I know men like him.
Powerful. Arrogant. Trouble. The world is his playground.
The playboy prince, the tabloid favorite, and the bane of my existence.
And unfortunately, he’s the only one who might be able to help me uncover the truth.
We're all but shackled together as he works to help me find my stalker before another attack
I don’t want to trust him. I don’t want to want him.
But letting Breck Waterford in might be the only thing to save us both.
I’ve never met a woman like her.
My secrets are mine to keep, but she has a habit of finding the truth.
Sparrow Bridges can’t discover who I am under the crown.
She’s everything I told myself I couldn’t have.
I push her away every chance I can…only every time I look at her, I fall harder.
When danger comes, I can’t stand the idea of losing her before I have a chance to claim her.
She doesn’t need a savior. But anyone who threatens Sparrow will soon find they don’t want me as an enemy.
Sparrow Bridges and Breck Waterford argue and bicker whenever they are in the same room. Typically, it’s not a problem as they steer clear of each other. But while Sparrow is taking point with the royal family while her boss, Kannon, is on his honeymoon, a threat arises that has her turning to the royal family for help rather than calling the boss back from vacation. She doesn’t want to work with him, but is given little choice unless she wants to bring her boss back. She is fierce, independent, and intelligent. Her instincts are almost always spot on, and she takes on more responsibility for her team than she should.
Very few people know the real Breck, including much of his family. He is used to carrying on the role of playboy, even as he runs a business with little fanfare and hides his talents. As he spends more time with Sparrow, he realizes that if he isn’t careful she is going to see beyond the walls he has put up and all his secrets will be in the open. He might carry the playboy persona well, but his heart is in technology and helping people out.
This was an enemies to lovers, royal romance with fast paced movement and storytelling. I was completely entertained watching Sparrow and Breck maneuver through the suspense aspects of the story while skating around the sparks that fly whenever they are in the same room. As they recognize the sparks as attraction and not simply annoyance, and each begins to see the vulnerability the other hides, the chemistry picks up and keeps things rolling.
Enemy Heir is the second book in the Tattered Royals series and though each couple has their own book, so they stand alone, I like the way they fit together as a series. I look forward to more from this royal series, and seeing more of the island kingdom of Alden and their royal family.
USA Today Bestseller, Nana Malone's love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin.
It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.
While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, in the meantime Nana works out her drama, passion, and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is.
