I don’t have time for a relationship, not even with the adorably dorky vet I can’t seem to stop bumping into… *sigh * pass the oil and lube

Between running a garage full of beefed up, gear head mechanics and bailing my idiot brother out of trouble every other week, the last thing I have time for is a relationship.

I’ve tried it too many times, and the ridiculous reasons I always find to end it have become a running joke around the garage. But I’ve learned my lesson. No. More. Boyfriends.

I don’t care how many times Porter falls asleep drunk in my bed or how cute he looks covered in oil smears while I teach him how to fix up the vintage car he has rusting away in his garage, I’m not going to fall for him.

Even if I did, what do a mechanic and a veterinarian have in common anyway?

It’s better if we’re only friends… friends who occasionally fiddle with each other’s crankshafts…

This is the first book in the Big Bull mechanics spin-off series!

Steele is the burly, bearded, tatted owner of Big Bull Mechanics. He’s a giver and a fixer. He is busy taking care of his business, the staff, his wayward brother, and anyone that asks a favor. He dates casually but tends to find something wrong with all of the men and sends them packing. He does not think he has time or energy for more.

Porter is a new veterinarian and is also stressed by his new vet practice. He is cute and dorky, but also surprisingly also a toppy, dirty talker. Though he has wanted a boyfriend for a while but had no luck, but now he thinks he is too short on time to invest in a relationship.

These guys have some difficulty with timing, balance, life, and obligations. They have amazing chemistry, fun rapport, and generally like each other. But they are both scared to overcommit or scare the other one off.  But as overwhelmed as they are, they start to realize that maybe having someone in their life can actually help relieve stress instead of being another obligation.

This is a sexy, swoony, low angst, opposites-attract story about two busy people and their priorities. I adored Steele and Porter. They are just so good together and balance each other. I loved that despite their differences in outer appearance of personality that they didn’t fall into the expected norms in the bedroom. Porter is no innocent geeky twink and he has no issue taking control from the big guy and could be just as filthy as Steele. They both had times were they were just drowning in business or personal situations and they really needed an anchor, but they would also feel guilty for not always being able to be there. So it is definitely about finding a balance and making the most out of life.

It brings back more of the guys from Big Bull Mechanics and Four Bears Construction. They are so much fun! I love how they tease each other but are also there to lend advice or a helping hand.  It also introduces Steele’s brother, Gates. I have a feeling we will be reading more about him in the next book and I am ready.
Author K.M.Neuhold is a complete romance junkie, a total sap in every way. She started her journey as an author in new adult, MF romance, but after a chance reading of an MM book she was completely hooked on everything about lovely- and sometimes damaged- men finding their Happily Ever After together. She has a strong passion for writing characters with a lot of heart and soul, and a bit of humor as well. And she fully admits that her OCD tendencies of making sure every side character has a full backstory will likely always lead to every book having a spin-off or series. When she’s not writing she’s a lion tamer, an astronaut, and a superhero…just kidding, she’s likely watching Netflix and snuggling with her husky while her amazing husband brings her coffee.
