This first part is not really a romance. It’s more adversarial, power exchanges, control, lust, and challenging each other along with external danger and suspense. There might be a little glimmer of more of a connection, but at the same time anything more also seems impossible and completely forbidden.
It leaves on a cliff that has me wanting to next book right now!
