Veteran player Gage Heyward retired from the league following a successful career. Now the Titans need him, but does he have what it takes to get back on the ice and pull this team together?

After achieving the goals I set for myself, I walked away from my professional hockey career. It was a tough decision, but the right one at the time. When the Titans organization approached me about joining the team they were rebuilding following a devastating plane crash, I felt a passion for the game and a competitive spirit I hadn’t felt in years. The opportunity to make a huge difference to a lot of people spoke to me, and I accepted their offer and headed to Pittsburgh without a second thought.

Jenna Holland is also new to town, having moved from Phoenix to Pittsburgh to take a job with the Titans. Her past has left her with scars—both physical and emotional—and she’s slow to trust others. But the more I learn about Jenna, the more I want to know. The more I need to know. Because the beautiful blonde with honey gold eyes and a wall around her heart has me enamored.

My game on the ice is the best it’s ever been, but it’s my game off the ice I’m focused on these days. Because while Jenna may not be willing to take a chance, I know the potential is there for something big. Something life changing. Now I just need to convince her to take the shot.

Gage Heyward came out of retirement to help build the new Pittsburgh Titans team. He is motivated, supportive, and inspired to mentor and help lead this new franchise. He is genuinely a kind, loyal, and well-liked man.

Jenna Holland has a new job as the media liaison for the team. It is a big step for her to get back into the public and working world. She has been self-isolating for a long time. She has physical and emotional scars, but is determined to push her boundaries and find herself again. But she is still introverted, untrusting, sensitive, and lacks confidence.

These two meet and Jenna finds Gage’s honesty and acceptance refreshing. And as he seeks to spend more time with her, friendship and trust begin to grow. Seeing Jenna begin to blossom under Gage’s attention and the support of her new friends is inspiring and beautiful. Gage is a man that knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it. He is used to attention and the spotlight. But Jenna is a woman with past pain, abandonment, and trust issues, and sometimes finds comfort fading into the background.

I just adored Gage. He is a sweet, sexy, loving, and swoony hero. Jenna is a strong woman fighting to find her way toward who she wants to be but is still self-conscious. Gage is her biggest supporter and protective of her, and wants to see her thrive and make her happy. Despite her self-worth issues,  Jenna will eventually have to decide if the risk of being brave and facing her fears is worth the potential reward.

This is such a wonderful story about strength, trust, acceptance, hope, and being the best version of yourself. I enjoyed getting more with his teammates and their significant others and even a Vengeance couple.  I also love the owner Brielle and manager Callum.  I am looking forward to more in this series. Coen is featured in this one too and I am ready for him to start figuring his issues out next...and he seems to have plenty to work on.
Gage is a veteran player who came out of retirement to join the rebuilding of the Pittsburgh Titans. He originally left hockey on his own terms, and felt it was time. Now that the opportunity to play again is in front of him, he has a renewed excitement about the game and helping his team find their feet again.

Jenna is also new in town, having joined the Titans organization as a media liaison. This is huge for her after suffering major burns that completely changed the way she lived. She is finding new confidence though as she faces her fears and learns to live with her scars.

I have been waiting for Jenna’s story for so long -- since Arizona Vengeance days. She is so sweet and has so much to offer the world. I hated to see her afraid to go out in public because of her scars. When she meets Gage and his steady personality, honesty, and protectiveness, I couldn’t help thinking they were perfect together.

This is a story full of acceptance, healing, and moving on from the past. Jenna is stepping out for the first time since the fire, but worries that she’s taken on too much by dating a professional athlete whose responsibilities mean she too is in the spotlight. Gage is protective, strong, and steady, which is exactly what Jenna needs as she finds her comfort levels stretched. There was not a lot of couple drama that wasn’t easily worked through, and Gage is great about giving her room while also pushing conversations to avoid miscommunication.

There is a really good sense of maturity and stability throughout this story. The team though? They are still working on their stability and there are a few members of the Titans organization I am particularly intrigued by and hope to see stories for soon.
