When rock star Ezra Moon needs new security for his tour it seems logical to employ the brother of his best friend who runs A-List Security. But the ex-military and security company owner, Duncan Lubov is not so sure about it at all. Ezra was a child star along with his little brother, Danny. But he is all grown up now and his music does things to Duncan that he does not want to admit. 

Ezra is energetic, creative, reckless, impulsive, and a risk-taker. He cares so much about the fans and public that he puts himself in situations that could be hazardous to his health and well-being. He cares deeply for his friends and believes in love.

Duncan is his opposite. He is a loner, leader, responsible, rule-follower, and cynical. He thrives on control and being prepared for anything. He keeps people at arm's length and does not believe in relationships that last. 

These two start with snarky verbal sparring, strong reactions, and fights for control that gradually leads to more understanding. They eventually give in to the physical and unexpectedly mesh in ways they never expected.  Their needs in the bedroom are unexpected and steamy. But they are also alike in the way they think about others rather than themselves and their own happiness. 

These two think a secret tour fling with a time limit will be easy to deal with. But Ezra lives in the public eye and has many obligations. Duncan is supposed to stay under the radar and the reputation of his company is at stake. So they put themselves in what seems like an impossible situation. 

This is a secret, best friend's brother, bodyguard-rockstar, grumpy-sunshine forbidden romance with some surprises and a little angst. The characters are likable and their backstories add depth and help shape their views on life. They both have room to change and grow, and figure out what is really important in their lives. But it is complicated, messy, and there are no simple answers.
