The last thing she expected was to fall in love with Hollywood royalty.

Shattered Sea, a passionate and heartfelt contemporary romance featuring a Hollywood hero and a small-town heroine from USA Today bestselling author Catherine Cowles, is now available!

I’ve known every kind of pain. Of the heart. Of the body. Of the soul. All I want now is the freedom that comes from making my art.

The last thing I expected was Hollywood royalty to waltz into my gallery in a small town in the middle of nowhere and see me.

A man like Boden Cavanaugh shouldn’t understand me. Shouldn’t be able to soothe my most ragged edges. Even worse, he makes me want the one thing I can’t have. Him.

All it takes is one spark, and friendship catches flame. But as our attraction burns bright, there are forces desperate to send us back into the darkness. And they’ve already killed before…

Fall in love today!

Okay, I think I may be able to write this review now... *sigh*

With that said, I truly don't have adequate words to describe what I'm feeling (I apologize in advance this review will not be as well written or thought out as the others I've done in this series), other than I'm a total HOT MESS. My emotions and thoughts are spiraling. I'm rewinding parts of the book and still trying to process what I read. However, I do know I won't be recovering anytime soon from Boden and Laiken. Lord. Have. Mercy. That rollercoaster ride was fucking electrifying!

I know I say this with each book, but this duo has become my favorite of the series!! Every time I think there is no way in hell she can top that. Whelp, Cowles continues to prove me wrong.

Boden and Laiken are something pretty damn special. I connected with both the moment I met them and that connection only grew stronger with each turn of the page. I LOVED how much care Boden showed Laiken. I LOVED that he took his time and let her move at her own pace. I LOVED how neither Boden or Laiken let things simmer too long before they made things right. I LOVED that they COMMUNICATED. And I LOVED how easy things were between them, all the angst came from the outside. It made watching their climb and fall for each other that much sweeter. I can't wait for your to experience the love, patience, friendship, bravery, self-sacrificing, and strength they exhibit, among many other things, first hand.

I really really really wish I could experience Boden and Laik for the first time, again. Shattered Sea was one of those books.

Thank you, Catherine Cowles, for wrecking me in the most beautiful and perfect way. Thank you for always making me feel some kind of emotion when I pick up your books. Thank you for giving me characters I fall so head over heels in love with that I never want to leave their world. Thank you for making me anticipate the next book with fierce excitement. Thank you for providing me with worlds that are so well built I can crawl into them and forget my own for awhile.

And one last thing, thank you for making me actually adore a trope I normally hate with a passion: insta.

If you haven't started this series yet I'm not sure what you are waiting for. This is one of those worlds that just gets better and better with each book written. Each couple becomes my absolute favorite. So if you need something to get you out of that book slump than I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Tattered & Torn series.

Bring on Shiloh and Ramsey! I have a feeling those two are going to completely rock us off our axis.
