Colby Lennon is a busy man being an architect, landlord, and single dad. He is intrigued at first sight. He is hot, caring, and determined he wants to spend more time with Billie. 

Billie is determined to make him work for it. From date denial to friends to un-dates to dates, he perseveres and finally has her right where he wants her.

But sometimes life can surprise you with unexpected complications. And this one is a doozy!

This is a sweet, slow burn, angsty, opposites-attract, single dad romance with some unique challenges. I have to admit I got really frustrated at certain parts of the story and was not sure how things were going to resolve. But the drama definitely ramped up as the book went on. This is kind of a longish story with a slower build and they have quite a few challenges to get through.

I adored Colby. He is the best dad and also really attentive and supportive of Billie. And Billie is smart and thinks things through instead of just jumping blindly in. They are a lot of fun together and have great chemistry. But their situation is anything but easy.

I loved the side characters of his friends, Holden, Owen, and Brayden, and her bestie, Deek. I was excited to see Holden is getting a book in this series. I am intrigued by all of the guys. His daughter, Saylor, was also so stinking cute.
