Release Blitz: Fractured Sky (Tattered & Torn #5) by Catherine Cowles
I’ve known every kind of pain. Of the heart. Of the body. Of the soul. All I want now is the freedom that comes from making my art.
The last thing I expected was Hollywood royalty to waltz into my gallery in a small town in the middle of nowhere and see me.
A man like Boden Cavanaugh shouldn’t understand me. Shouldn’t be able to soothe my most ragged edges. Even worse, he makes me want the one thing I can’t have. Him.
All it takes is one spark, and friendship catches flame. But as our attraction burns bright, there are forces desperate to send us back into the darkness. And they’ve already killed before.

“You’re my sky.” I stilled. “Your sky?” “My pinpricks of hope on the darkest nights. You are that in living form for me. You always will be.”
What a perfect ending to this AMAZING series. From start to finish, I have loved every single book in the Tattered & Torn Series.
TOP READS of 2022
Shilo and Ramsey were a HIGHLY anticipated read. The build up towards Shy's book has had me on edge, through four books, filled with trepidation. I should've known better. Duh, Tammy! Cowles doesn't disappoint. You know this. For me, atleast, she always brings her A Game and Fractured Sky was no exception. I DEVOURED this couple and their heartrending journey in one sitting. Which lately is extremely rare. I usually don't get past the first couple of pages. Book slumps truly suck, dude.
But lord have mercy, there was no slump with this duo!! Ramsey and Shy made it their bitch. LOL
Anway, it probably helped that I'm a huge sucker for broken and damaged souls, especially ones who fight through the bowels of hell to come out on the side of heaven. Shy and Ramsey embodied this, individually and as a couple. While they were a crazy train of trials and tribulations, they were also so full of love, compassion, strength, and light. Everything about them was vivid and tangible. Relatable. Inspirational. They were an intense adventure that left my emotions and thoughts all over the place. Thank god for the creator of tissues.
The rich, raw growth of these characters as we observed them overcoming their tragic pasts, insecurities, and self preservation was so worth that roller coaster ride!! It was so damn sweet to see Ramsey and Shy find trust, hope, friendship, absolution, and passion with each other. To see them find their person. To see them devote themselves to healing the other. To watch these two strong, extremely vulnerable and overcautious individuals let down their steeply built walls was quite poignant and profound. To watch them flourish.
Gosh, just thinking about them as I write this review makes me want to dive back in for a reread. I'm seriously jealous of those who get to read this for the first time.
I LOVED Fractured Sky so much, I didn't even mind the slow burn romance, which is usually not my cup of tea. However, there was enough connection and chemistry balanced with the right amount of drama to hold my attention. On top of that, I enjoyed being back with some of my favorite characters from previous books. I won't lie, though. I missed Boden and Laiken.
I'm really sad to see this series end. Yet so excited to see what Catherine Cowles has up her sleeve next. If you haven't already picked up this series, don't waste another second. Get to one clicking. Technically you don't have to read these in order, but it really does help to start with Tattered Stars. I don't think the experience of Shy's book would've had the same impact if I hadn't gotten to know her and her family/friends throughout the first 4 books. However you chose to read these books, I hope you adore them as much as I have.
