SANDEN
Yeah, well, I never said I was smart.
I might … accidentally, maybe on purpose, suggest to Remy that the best form of revenge is to have a party anyway. I mean, he’s already got catering, a DJ, and guests, so what better time to throw a petty party?
My loser high school friend never deserved him anyway. If I’d had the chance, I would have locked Remy down years ago.
Only, when the party leads to a drunken kiss, going on their honeymoon, and sharing their marital bed, I have to say, I’m not entirely sad that their wedding went up in flames.
Sanden is a firefighter and Remy is a paramedic from a nearby station. Sanden has had a bit of a crush on Remy for years, but he missed his chance when he introduced Remy to his old friend and they got involved. So he has had to keep his distance while also trying to be a supportive groomsman, and then watch as Remy is left at the altar and trying to figure out how it all went wrong.
So why not suggest he have the reception party anyway and go on the honeymoon? And why not go along for moral support?
Now Sanden is on a dream vacation with the guy he is crushing on who just had his heart broken. He is easygoing, goofy, fun, caring, patient, and protective. And Remy is sweet, kind, and still hurt and confused, but also a bit relieved.
Fake husbands. Tropical fun. Close contact. One bed. Is it just a rebound or something that was meant to be in the first place?
Vacation fun is one thing, but real life has a whole other set of complications. This initially seems like they could just ride off into the sunset together, but they both have their own issues and demons to deal with not to mention outside influences. There is a lot more to this story and it delves more into mental health than I was expecting, but it added more depth and angst to the story. But I felt it was done realistically and honestly.
I loved Remy and Sandler together so much. I loved each of their characters and was rooting for them to deal with what they needed to in order to find healing. But it is a journey and process for both of them, and I loved that they are mature and self-aware enough to realize that they have to do it right for both of their sakes. But the longing, pining, pain, confusion, and regret are real. But there is enough wit, spice, fun, sweetness, and a strong determination to be better that balances it out. I also enjoyed more with Gabe and Aleks(Puckboys), Remy's friend, Tig, and cousin, Wren. And they created one character that I hated with a passion that made me so mad any time he was part of the story!
This is an emotional, steamy, heartfelt, sometimes fun and sometimes serious, hurt-comfort, second (or third) chance love story about empowerment and healing. It is a bit different from their other co-writes and I really think they explored new depth in their characters and took on more sensitive topics with this one.

Eden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff.
She doesn't take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart.
With a short attention span that rivals her son's, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF.
She's also an Australian girl and apologises for her Australianisms that sometimes don't make sense to anyone else.
