What happens when the Prince of Wales falls in love with the Prime Minister?

My boring life working in an insurance call center in sunny California just took an unexpected turn. Thanks to my misbehaving relatives, I’ve leapt from obscurity to royalty as the new heir to the British throne.

But my welcome in England is about as warm as the weather. I arrive to discover a country horrified at the thought of an American version of Prince Charming and ready to revolt against the monarchy. I vow to my grandmother, the Queen, that I will do everything possible to help her save the crown.

Unfortunately, royal life isn’t easy. From bewildering traditions, traitorous friends, and malevolent swans, the only thing I’m succeeding in is providing entertainment for the tabloids and social media trolls.

And then the broodingly handsome Prime Minister, Oliver Hartwell, bursts into my life.

With his meteoric rise from poverty to the most powerful man in the country, Oliver understands my current plight. Innocent messages of support turn into late-night chats—and unexpected feelings.

But there’s one major problem. The royal family must remain politically neutral at all times.

So how can I keep my promise to save the monarchy when I’m falling in love with the Prime Minister?

A forbidden romance filled with humor and drama featuring a bumbling Prince of Wales and a stern yet dashing Prime Minister, with a love that could transform a nation.

Callum Prescott is just a mild-mannered American, who is quirky, awkward, distractible, and didn’t have a real handle on what he was going to do with his life. And then his whole life changed in an instant. Suddenly the eleventh heir to the British throne is now heir number one. He’s had limited access to England and he’s lived in America his whole life. Now he is thrust into a world of British politics and the monarchy, a whole host of new rules and etiquette, and intense media scrutiny.  The poor guy has a pretty face but is klutzy, bumbling, and awkward already and now everybody’s watching him, mocking him, talking about him, and waiting for him to fail.

The Prime Minister, Oliver Hartwell, has his own issues, and he gets a lot of media attention as well. He’s divorced, has political enemies, and is now trying to help calm things down during this tenuous situation. He is handsome, serious, confident, smart, and has to please a lot of different people.

And there’s something about Callum that just sparks an interest in him and he also feels sorry for the guy. So they begin to bond over text about the ridiculous media stories and find a sense of camaraderie.

Callum’s always thought he was straight but just had a horrible time with dating. Oliver’s ex-husband always said he worked too much and didn’t give him enough attention. But now these two are in a position where propriety is supposed to be of the utmost importance, but they can’t seem to stop the attraction and connection that they’re both feeling. And Oliver seems to get Callum's offbeat sense of humor and quirky personality.

Callum‘s life was already turned completely around but now it’s getting even messier. And the nation and the world are watching.

When two of the most important men in Britain catch feelings for each other, the path to happiness seems impossible. They will eventually have to choose and prioritize what is most important in their lives. But also have the added pressure of what is most important for their country as well.

There’s a lot of back-and-forth between these two as they struggle with the repercussions and try to do the right thing while knowing that being together is what actually feels right to them. It’s a slow burn, sweet, witty, forbidden, age-gap, American-Brit, royal-politician romance about two men finding a connection where they least expected it, and actually letting themselves be vulnerable enough to show their true selves to that person. I thought they were a cute match. I loved how they balanced and supported each other.

My stories are all about light-hearted conversations and deeply-felt connections. I love exploring exactly why two characters are the only ones who’ll make the other truly happy, and the journey they take to reach their happily-ever-after

I live in New Zealand with my family and a wide assortment of animals. I’m a rabid sports fan, a hiking enthusiast and have a slightly unhealthy addiction to nature documentaries. I have also been known to read the odd book on occasion.
