Two things in life have always come easy to me: winning medals in competitive swimming and hooking up with beautiful women. Riding high from an Olympic victory, I was heading back home for my cousin’s wedding. As soon as I touched down, I was on the lookout for a post ceremony hookup. I had to look no further than the bridal party or more specifically the brunette bombshell who was the maid of honor. To my surprise, she not only remembered me from when we were kids, but she wasn’t my biggest fan. Undaunted, I set out to show her just how hot angry sex could be. While I’d fully expected a night of passion, the worst possible thing happened the morning after…

I fucking fell for her.

But to my utter disbelief, she wanted nothing more to do with me. I am a guy who has never had to chase a chick, but I’m about to launch into a full-on pursuit to make her mine.

This is a second-generation Proposition/Runaway Train series featuring Aidan and Emma's son, Noah, and AJ and Mia's daughter, Gaby. Tropes include: Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Reformed Player, and He Falls First.

This is a legacy series featuring the kids from The Proposition and Runaway Train series. I loved these characters so it was so fun to see them with their offspring.

Noah Fitzgerald is a flirty, sarcastic, confident, spontaneous, USA Team swimmer. He likes getting attention and finds it easy to pick up groupies wherever he goes. He is known as a manwhore and has no plans to change his status.

Gaby Resendiz is an anxious, introverted, quiet, shy, curvy girl who prefers to avoid the limelight. She is getting over a broken heart and has a lot of insecurities. She has a giving heart and has plans to do good in the world.

They share various friends that they have known through their parents or met in college so there is a mixing of all of the generations at a wedding for Mason and Laurel. And Noah was one person she had no interest in seeing after a bit of bad history. But he is just as determined to rile her up and reel her in for some extra-curricular wedding fun.

This is a witty, snarky, sexy,  enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract, player and good girl romance. Noah never expected to be so affected by Gaby and is used to getting what he wants. And Gaby would never have expected Noah to even notice her much less have any interest in her.

A hot wedding fling sends Noah in pursuit of something more with a girl for the first time. But Gaby is stubborn and scared to risk her heart. He will have his work cut out for him to convince Gaby that he is serious and convince her to take a chance on him. These two are so compassionate and so competitive. They have fun witty, flirty, verbal sparring and rapport. But even if he catches her in the short term, there are still long-term issues not easily figured out. Swimming has always been his number one priority, but Gaby is not the kind of girl who likes second place.

It brings back their parents whose personalities and dynamics are much the same even though they are older. It is fun to see them as parents though. And there are a lot of connections between all of the kids. This brings all the fun and the feels.  I totally enjoyed their story and am looking forward to more of the legacy stories.
