Release Blitz: Marshmallow Mountain : A.J. Truman and M.A. Wardell
October 22, 2024
What’s worse than being snowed in with your ex? Literally nothing.
Initially, the only thing Marshall and Marshall had in common was a name. Marshall (aka Data) lived his life around spreadsheets, while Marshall (aka Marsh) was an F5 tornado of chaos. Yet for eight years, they were madly in love. Until Marsh abruptly ended things with a half-baked excuse.
Six months later, Data gets a text from Marsh out of the blue: they need to clean out their cabin in Maine and sell it ASAP. He can make it through one more weekend with the man who broke his heart.
Marsh loved adding squiggles to the straight lines of his boyfriend. If only he could’ve lived up to the potential Data saw in him. If only he didn’t feel like he was one big miscalculation on Data’s ledger. Saying goodbye to Marshmallow Mountain will be the final tie to sever, even though he still pines for his number-crunching teddy bear.
But when a massive snowstorm traps them in their small cabin for days, they’re forced to confront hard truths about their breakup…as well as resist the sweltering heat raging between them.
These boys might be headed for a second act, but only if they can make it off Marshmallow Mountain.
Two men who share a name and shared a life for eight years. Tight spaces. Bruised and broken hearts. Big squishy feelings and bodies. Down and dirty break-up sex. It’s all coming together at a weekend at their cabin. They are forced to be honest, face failures, and figure out what they want in their futures. The (Big) Bottom line here is this weekend in the cabin will change everything one way or the other.
These two author's styles flowed well together and it felt like a manly-man's M/M novel. I love that they are big, burly, with real bouncy bodies and they totally appreciate them. Their chemistry is fire, their banter is fun, and they are just adorable together. They both have interesting, witty, and supportive friends. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
Oh, the two Marshalls. Marshall (Data) Kaplan and Marsh Goldberg. Data is a workaholic accountant who thrives on planning, control, and understanding situations. But his world was wrecked when his sweet, and funny boyfriend of eight years left him.
Just when Marsh thought his comedy career was going to explode in a good way, he bombed. And with some other life situations going on just didn’t want to drag Marshall down with him so he broke up with him and broke both their hearts.
Now six months later, it’s time to clean out their cabin in Maine. And it’s also the first time they’ve really communicated Since the break-up. So bring on the forced proximity and they’ll have to actually communicate about everything that’s going on while also trying to not get carried away by temptation or giving each other false hope.
This is an exes, forced proximity, sweet, witty, and spicy romance with fluffy heroes and snow. These two are such a hot mess despite the cold and ice outside. Data is just trying to protect his heart and avoid more pain, and Marshall is lost and just trying to be a protector in his own way. But bless his heart, he has made a mess of things. They seem to know each other's quirks so well, but the big break-up question mark was a wall between them.
