For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

Sydney and Kyler have been inseparable since they were kids. They have always been there for each other. But as they got older, feelings got more intense. And both were afraid to admit them or ruin their friendship.

No one could replace me in his life. I knew that. I was the friend who knew everything about him and whom he trusted above everyone else. I was Kyler's best friend. And because of that, he would never love me the way I loved him.

Sydney was perfect--he actual embodiment of the perfect woman. She was practically pristine and fresh. She untouchable. She was everything to me. I'd spent the better part of my life trying not to f*** up for Syd, and yet somehow failing miserably.

I loved all of the facets of this book. They way they cared for each other, the unique story line, the suspense, the longing, and the emotion. Their feelings were raw, their chemistry was intense and you could feel the need and insecurities between them. She felt completely insecure, awkward, and thought there was no way he could like her more than a friend. And besides he had a still has hordes of woman all over him. And he does not feel good enough for her and puts her on an unattainable pedestal. It is easier to hide his feelings under meaningless encounters with no emotions involved. But I loved his protectiveness over her.

The two of them were a functional mess. There was a lot of back and forth with the characters inner monologues not matching their outward actions and words as they hid what they really felt for each other. It takes being snowed in alone on vacation with challenges and danger lurking about to finally expose all of their secrets and desires.

"Everything, baby, you deserve everything."

In reality, even though I'd been with everyone else, I'd always been Syd's.

But once it is all over and they return home...will they still be friends, more, or nothing at all?

I really liked both Sydney and Kyler despite their flaws. She was guarded, awkward, controlled and a bit naive. Kyler was bossy, sexy, and charismatic, but he also had a vulnerability to him regarding Syd. The transition as they began to truly communicate was tentative, fragile, and then explosive. Once together they were hot, sweet, and emotional. Their connection was deeply ingrained in them and added a depth to their feelings.

I love this author's writing style. It flows, it all draws you in, and it makes you love her characters. I liked the added suspense, intrigue, and danger in this one and it kept me on the edge. The snow storm background was interesting and added even more issues. I am glad we got both points of view because that was definitely needed in this story. I enjoyed this sweet stand alone read. But I do think that their friends Tanner and Andrea have potential for their own story as well since they seem to have a complicated un-relationship.
