Edible(Book 3 in the Exquisite series)

Add to Goodreads  Buy Amazon/B&N

Edible, delicious, delectable.

Rachel Langley is more than familiar with those three words in her line of work. After all, she spends her afternoons and evenings creating desserts so divine that your mouth will water and your taste buds will tingle.

They aren’t, however, the words she would have ever expected to think of when she locks eyes with a certain lawyer she knows only as Cole.

With each encounter, the infuriatingly persistent man becomes more impossible to resist, and edible is the exact word that comes to mind.

Crave, demand, covet.

Cole Madison knows exactly what he wants, and Rachel Langley is it. From the moment he spotted her at Whipped, he knew he wanted to grab hold and take a bite.

However, the woman has enigmatic moves, avoiding him at every turn.

But not for much longer.

Rachel’s time is up, and as far as Cole is concerned, he’s waited too long for a taste of what he desires. Nothing, including the woman herself, will stop him from consuming what he hungers for.

The only question left is: Who will take the first bite?

Have you seen this wicked hot trailer from Edible? No?! What are you waiting for just hit play, it's that simple! Prepare yourself for sinful and steamy!

Exquisite(Book 1): Mason and Lena's story: Goodreads/Amazon/B&N/Our 5 star reviews
Her heart was guarded…Tormented by self-imposed guilt, Dr. Lena O’Donnell has spent the last nine years in survival mode. Struggling through days that seem to blend together and battling her way through each horrifying night, she’s determined that this is what she deserves…
Until he tore down the walls…
Mason Langley’s life is going exactly the way he planned it, until her. A confirmed bachelor and the successful owner of the hottest restaurant to hit Chicago, he never expects to be blindsided by an angry woman in a pair of scrubs. No matter how hard he tries, he can’t seem to shake the doctor, and he finds himself liking the way she makes him feel.
Almost over night Lena finds her world turned upside down by Mason and the sexual desire they discover together. Slowly, she lowers her guard and invites him inside but when tragedy strikes she begins to believe that sometimes it’s better to be alone and safe than to love and lose.

Entice (Book 2): Shelly and Josh' story:
Goodreads/Amazon/B&N/ Our 5 star reviews
What if everything you think you want isn't what you actually need...Dr. Shelly Monroe is a woman who doesn't shy away from going after what she wants, but lately good sex has been hard to find. Shelly's become increasingly frustrated with the men she's been dating and the men she believes are the right choice.
Joshua Daniels is certainly not even close to the right choice. In fact he is exactly the wrong choice. For one thing, he's Mason Langley's best friend and best man. Second he's too much of a risky complication for Shelly to even consider.
Then why can't she stop thinking about how delicious he looked that first night she met him at Exquisite? Why is it so imperative to keep her lusty desire for a man that doesn’t meet her preconceived mold hidden from Lena and Mason, her trusted friends?
It seems unreasonable that being with a man completely wrong in theory could somehow feel so right. Then why is it the more she sees him the more enticing he becomes?

"This is so far from over, Rachel. It's barely even begun."

This is the third book in Exquisite series and follows Mason's sister Rachel. She is a flower shop owner by day and pastry chef/restaurant owner by night. Her looks push the envelope as her hair could be any color at any given time, she has a penchant for leather, piercings, and tattoos. She has had here heart broken and been in a bad relationship that has changed her whole outlook on men and life. She is busy, lonely, and feeling loss as her brother and and friends all seem to be moving into relationships and she is the fifth wheel.
We met Cole in the last book Entice in a club called Whipped and he set his sights on Rachel. Unfortunately for him, she did not readily accept. Cole seems straight-laced, put together, and professional. He is a tall, hot, sexy alpha, and likes control. But underneath that buttoned up exterior, is the body of a bad boy and a filthy mouth. On the surface they seem like polar opposites, but their is a underlying attraction that cannot be ignored. No matter how much it bothers Rachel.

The man is too f***ing much--cocky, arrogant, sexy, and bad. Oh yeah, and it didn't help that he look in his eyes and the tone in his voice screamed all the bad things he wanted to to do to her.

This was a woman who wanted the same thing he did. She was just too scared to admit it or chase it. Good thing for her that I'm not.

He pushes, she pushes right back. He teases, she taunts. And before she knows it, Rachel wants this man she once said was not her type. And their sexual tension and chemistry is off the charts...the things this man can do without even using his hands...umm...wow!  They spark and ignite every time they are anywhere near each other. I do not think I will ever be able to eat a caramel again and not think about Cole Madison. And the more we learn about Cole, the more he seems perfect for Rachel. He likes control. She likes control. But they find ways to both win. Their relationship is a whirlwind that is challenging, sensual, and very hot. But most importantly Cole can see behind the facade that Rachel puts on and gets down the real woman hiding underneath. She had been so altered by the past that she has lost herself and put up walls. He helps her break them down, open up, push past her demons, and rediscover herself.  I loved that he never asked her to be anyone that she wasn't. He never judged her for her appearance or quirkiness.

This man is going to unravel me.

"I had no idea it would be you..."
"And I knew it had to be you."

I loved Cole and Rachel together and thought they were an even match. They were snarky, flirty, fun, but also accepting and supportive of each other. Their connection and attraction were intense and happened quickly. But at the same time, they had strong feelings and understanding of each other. And their physical relationship was scorching hot! Her brother Mason and pseudo brother Josh are so protective of Rachel and they can be as overbearing as ever, but Cole took it all in stride. And Lena and Shelly were fun and entertaining as always. I love how they keep their guys in line.

I have enjoyed each one of the books in this series immensely and this was no exception. These couples are humorous, loving, and fiercely loyal. They are truly family. I have a soft spot in my heart for each one of them and am sad this is the end of the Exquisite series. Ella Frank has a unique, quirky writing style that is full of humor, emotion, and complicated relationships. The characters challenge each other, are very well developed, and lovable despite their minor flaws. She makes me laugh out loud and fan myself alternately as I devour the pages. This book flows easily, is engaging, and gives us both points of view to get into the Rachel and Cole's heads. And I am a sucker for an epilogue and this one was especially important as it was the end of this series.

I am excited that she introduced us to Cole's law partner, Logan in this book and that he will be getting his own story Try  in Winter 2013 that will be the first in a new Temptation trilogy. He is cocky, arrogant, funny, and has an open mind. I will read anything that Ella Frank writes because she has proven that she can write different styles and genres and every time I open one of her books she sucks me in and makes me remember how much I love her work.

Thanks to Ella Frank for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

"We fit like two pieces of a puzzle finally coming together."

Edible has made it to my top three faves of 2013! I adored Mason and I adored Josh even more. However, I did not adore Cole in the least bit. I fell head over freaking heels in love with this man and I may just have a slight girl crush on his heroine! Both characters were well developed and written to pure perfection. Cole and Rachel equaled pure enticing erotic fun! Their story has cemented Ella Frank on my favorite author’s shelf!

"Rachel was finding it harder and harder to breath. The man is too f******much-cocky, arrogant, sexy, and bad. Oh yeah, and it didn't help that the look in his eyes and the tone of his voice screamed all the bad things he wanted to do to her."

Cole is so damn yummy and looks can be oh so deceiving!! In the words of our leading lady, "I think you are smart, cunning, demanding, arrogant, and most definitely, the sexiest man I have ever met." I concur fully Rachel!! Mr. Suit certainly had a few wicked surprises hidden up his sleeve, and that mouth, oh my gosh, that mouth will set your panties on fire! I don't normally leave reviews like this but I suggest you have either your man around or a BOB because I promise you will be tempted to take care of some personal business. Yes ladies, Cole is simply that freaking hot!! What I wouldn't give to be underneath and controlled by that man. Sigh, just writing this review has my insides waking up and taking notice. Mr. I need control was a complete and total mind f***. What you see is without a doubt not what you get. On the outside, Cole is cool, calm, and collected but underneath that buttoned up polished facade lays a man riddled with contradictions. Ella executed the unraveling of those layers beautifully.

Rachel is so fricken ...wicked!! To say I loved her character and it's development through out the book is an understatement. Our heroine is conflicted with the feeling of helplessness vs empowerment. She battles with this on a daily basis. One slip could cost her more than she would like to admit. The only way she knows how to prevent this is by controlling every aspect of her life, right down to her "do not touch rule."  Never again will Rachel allow someone to place her in the predicament of being vulnerable again. As I said earlier, I have a slight (ok major) girl crush on her! I absolutely ADORED her strength; she was fun and inviting, not to mention one hell of a vixen!  I loved that although she was cautious her personality kept her true to herself.  I think because she was so real  it allowed for an easy relatable connection between her and the reader.

"Will you give me that? Will you swallow your pride, show me your strength, and find the hope that this person took away from you?"

Holy crap, together these two are a powerhouse. Rachel and Cole are fun and impulsive, they are sinfully raw and gritty, and they are absolutely delicious at sinning. The chemistry and relationship between them created a seductive electricity that was well developed and intense. Cole and Rachel struggled with past drawbacks that affected different aspects of their present lives, resulting in the need for authority. The consequences of this transpired with constant struggles as they battled with issues of control, trust, pride, and love. Nothing came easy, not even the sex. There wasn't anything instant about them, in my opinion, even though things progressed rather quickly. Everything concerning their communication and interactions equaled an intricate dance of power; the question is which one comes out on top?

"There's only one small problem here, don't you think?" she questioned.
"And what's that?" he asked with a smile.
"We both want to be on top."
"I'm not adverse to being underneath you, Rachel, not in the least."

Edible is a well-written story wrapped up in various layers that consist of discovery of one's self, lust,  control, determination, strength, and emotional connections between two very strong characters. It's about differences and not judging, accepting what's least expected.

I am truly sad to see this series end, but Ms. Frank finished it off with a bang. She saved the best couple for last in my opinion. I am excited though because Ella has left us with a bit of an introduction and teaser into her next series. During the course of Cole and Rachel's journey, Ella introduces us to Logan. Let me just tell you, I am a big fan of Logan's already; I am not so patiently waiting on the edge of my seat for his story, Try! Forewarning, Logan is Ella Frank’s first foray into the M/M genre.

Thanks to Ella Frank for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Tate shook his head, “You’re unbalanced. It’s never going to happen.”
“Scared?” Logan inquired, showing his teeth in a warped version of a grin.
Tate knew he was expected to run, so instead he stood his ground.
“I like to think of it as—smart.”
“And yet, you’re still here talking to me,” Logan reminded him.
“Well, it’s quieter now and you’re rather entertaining—once I look past the inappropriate comments.”
“What? I can’t tell you that I want to fuck you without being drunk?”
Tate completely lost the ability to form words at that blunt declaration but looked around quickly as he heard Logan laugh.
Turning back to the cocky asshole he hissed, “Jesus, would you keep your voice down? I don’t give a shit what you want to do. I have a brain and a mouth, and a no has worked so far on people like you.”
Logan placed his palm on the counter and stroked it with his fingers as he pushed, “People like me?”
“Yes, as in pushy, arrogant and full of themselves. What do you do anyway?”
Tate waited patiently as Logan picked up a small black straw from the container on the bar.
“Guess.”
Flinging the white towel over his shoulder, Tate looked Logan over quickly. Seeing as he was in casual clothes, he knew he’d get nothing from that.
“Investment banker,” he threw out.
Logan let out a loud, rumbling laugh, and as customers turned to face them, Tate gave a polite smile before looking back to the oblivious man sitting opposite him.
“Seriously? Do I look like a numbers guy?”
“No, not really,” Tate answered honestly.
“Thank god for that. What do I look like?” Logan inquired, dropping his voice down low.
Tate placed his palms on the bar. “Stop it.”
Stop what?”
Stop flirting with me.”
Logan brought the straw to his lips and bit down on the end of it. "I think you like it."
“And I think you’re a deranged used car salesman.”
Logan frowned and pulled the straw out of his mouth. “Now you’re just trying to be insulting.”
