Grace Hamilton was the girl with a plan. She knew exactly where her life was going and prided herself on always achieving her goals. It was who she was, and how she lived her life. She never stepped outside the lines, and never considered what she might desire and whom she was actually trying so hard to please. Until him…

Carson Stinger was a man who didn't play by any rules except his own. Working in the adult entertainment industry, he didn't care what others thought, and took each day as it came, no direction, no plan. He knew what women wanted from him and believed it was all he had to offer. Until her…

When circumstances forced them to spend several hours together, they walked away changed. But for two people who never should have meshed, overcoming the reality of their vastly different lives wasn't possible. At least not yet…

Other books in the Signs of Love Series. These books are about different characters than Stinger and the story lines are not related.

Leo: Goodreads/Amazon/B&N/Kim's 4.5 star review

"Yeah, life can change on a dime...Wild, isn't it?"

A law student meets a porn star in Vegas. They spark, he taunts, she gets flustered, they flirt, they fight, and they combust.

Grace is the girl that has a life plan that she follows to the letter. She is the good girl, focused on her future, who likes to be in control. Carson Stinger is a "straight male performer" with no plan and a past that makes him feel he is not worthy. He is arrogant, flirty, sexy, charismatic, and controlling. She is prissy, inexperienced, and out of her element. Carson's sarcastic jibes and innuendos cracked me up. Grace's initial revulsion at his antics made me laugh out loud.

But when forced to spend time together we see below their masks to secrets and pasts they usually keep hidden. They decide to spend the weekend together. He wanted to take control and show her how to live. She wanted to gain a little experience with someone...skilled.  Their chemistry is holy cow hot, their rapport is witty and fun, and they are total opposites in  their thinking.

"Lose control baby. Just for a weekend. Let me take charge. I'll take good care of you, I promise."

I was going to live for all the years I had said no to dessert, and all the years I had rejected relationships that might have come naturally because I was so focused, for all the years I had make choices I thought would make other people happy, never considering what would make me happy.

But they develop a connection and learn from each other even in that short amount of time and have a hard time letting go. And one weekend changed the course of their lives.

We see where they go and how they changed. Their lives take different unexpected turns, but that time together still holds meaning. This story is about learning to live, opening up, being inspired, learning to love yourself and others. One connection, one meeting, one period of time can make a huge difference.

Sometimes, you don't even realize anything is wrong until someone comes along and changes you, and makes you want more.

I loved the characters: Grace and Carson were very funny, likable and had such depth to them. We really saw their personal growth through this story. I liked all of the facets of them from their humor to their more caring and emotional sides. Even the secondary characters in this book were really engaging. I enjoyed his group of  hot alpha friends(and I can see Dylan, Josh, and Leland getting their own stories) and her friends and sisters.

This book covered a lot of story. It is not just a fun little romantic romp in Vegas. It was so much more! I have to admit as I was about a third of the way through, I was not sure where else this story had to go. But she took it in places I did not even consider. This story line was fresh and unique and has many interesting elements. It was well written, flowed well in both points of view, and gave us deep insight into the character's emotions and thoughts. It was sweet, funny, suspenseful, and moving. It had me tied up in knots, sad, happy, swooning, and biting my nails. It gives you hope and makes you feel every strong emotion. And when I was done, I was amazed looking back at how the story began and where it ended up. It was a complete journey for the characters and the readers. Mia Sheridan is an amazing author and this story is another great installment in her Signs of Love series. This is a stand alone story and is not related to the characters in Leo or Leo's Chance. But fans of those books will love Stinger.  I cannot wait for the next book from this talented author.

Thanks to Mia Sheridan for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.
