Casey Markham is a man-eater in a rut. Swearing off relationships may keep her heart safe, but she's beginning to question if her casual flings will ever leave her satisfied. She's wondering if it's finally time to let go of the past and stop letting history control her future.

Bad boy biker, Tenn Jennings can't get Casey off his mind. A chance encounter with the beautiful blond has left its mark, and now he's determined to prove her wrong about everything she thought she knew about men.

It’s safe to say… Casey Markham has met her match.
Casey Markham does not do love, relationships, or even overnights. She likes fun, sex, and absolutely no strings.  Her usual type is rich, sexy, and willing to follow her rules.

But Casey never saw Tenn Jennings coming. He just came to the Outer Banks on a motorcycle road trip with his friend Kyle so they could each visit family. He comes to her rescue, but ends up totally taken with her. They have an immediate raw reaction to each other. She knows he could be dangerous for her, but eventually decides she can't resist one night with him. A night where he tries to kill her with orgasms.

Yes, he does look dangerous. It's why he's appealing to me so much. He's like forbidden fruit. He's like fire. He's all the things I shouldn't touch but the temptation is too strong to ignore.

She's the Queen of self protection, but Tenn is intrigued enough to want to find out what hides under her cool, controlled, facade. She fights him, but he continue to puzzle her out. He challenges her and sets her on fire. And she knows he is dangerous because he is real, raw, and could break down her barriers. She's been on autopilot so long she does not even know who she is or wants to be anymore. But Tenn refuses to let her hide and is determined to prove her wrong when she tries to throw excuses in their way.

"I'm never letting you go... And I don't care if it scares the sh** out of you. You're going to have to deal with it."
They have a lot of issues to work through--her past and big walls, life challenges, location, and obligations. But the biggest thing to overcome is trust issues.

"You're mine, Casey... And nothing will stand in my way to keep you. Not even you."

Tenn=Holy Swooning Hotness!. I think he might have edged Brody out as my fave male of the series(even they are all so awesome and charismatic). He was alpha, but sweet; tough, but tender; sexy, but loving; and strong, but emotional. He loved hard and was fiercely protective and had a dirty talking edge. He covers all the hot guy categories: biker, Ex-Marine, rancher, and awesome dad.  I loved how he could wrangle stubborn Casey and punch holes though her walls. He was just forceful enough, yet tender and caring enough to make her trust him and be willing to try something that she swore she never would. Before him she was always just dating people that she knew she would never become emotionally attached to because that way she would never get hurt. But Tenn challenged her enough and took care of her enough that she was willing to risk it.
I always liked Casey and her outspoken, strong-willed ways. But I always figured she was holding back for some reason. And I was anxious to find out why. But I liked seeing her more real and  vulnerable side. She had been broken, but slowly Tenn started putting her pieces back together.

This amazing man f***ing broke my boundaries...and now I have to figure out what to do with the pieces.

I loved their dynamic, their rapport, and their chemistry together. There was a serious steam factor including one well executed adventurous sexy scene that made me want to applaud for them after completion. They had such strong personalities and played off each other well.
They were so perfectly matched, even though on the surface it seemed like they were so different. They both had secrets that unfolded through the story as they became more comfortable with each other. But ultimately it was about two people that had bad history with relationships that had to be willing to open up and trust in order to be able to move forward together. There were trials and tribulations along the way. There were times of fight or flight. There were also situations that were heartbreaking, frustrating, or that could have ruined everything. And there were quite a lot of sexy times and they were very  hot.

I love this series. I was glad to spend time with or get updates on all of our old friends: Hunter and Gabby, Brody and Alyssa, Wyatt and Andrea, Gavin and Savannah, and even Nix and Emily. This group has found  a special place in my heart. I love their camaraderie and the way they care for each other. I love seeing Hunter and Brody being overprotective big brothers. I really enjoyed his relationship with his daughter Zoey and seeing him as a father. I would love to see some spin off books with the Wyoming contingent featuring Andrea's MC brother, Kyle and Tenn's cattle rancher brother, Woolf. Their stories really need to be told.

This was a fun, feisty, emotional and steamy installment. I have been waiting on Casey's books since the beginning of this series and I was so happy to see that Sawyer succeeded in creating a man who could take on the troublesome, stubborn Casey Markham and have a chance at winning. It was fun to sit back and watch it all unfold. The funny thing is that I have talked to the author about this series all along during the planning stages and originally Casey's match was no one like Tenn at all. But Casey needed someone like this. I don't think any old computer geek or business man would do. She needed the man who fit into multiple categories and owned them all.

Yet again, I have reached the end of a Last Call book and loved every minute of it!

Casey Markham has sat back and watched each of her friends and brothers fall hard for their perfect match. But each time she brushed it off and continued her carefree, no-string, no-emotion relationships. Real, emotions-attached relationships were not something she was interested in. At all.

Tenn Jennings isn’t planning on staying in the Outer Banks long. Just long enough for his ex-wife to return to Raleigh with their daughter so he can have some father-daughter time. But the unplanned trip to the beach with his buddy puts him in the sights of Casey Markham, only he learns he doesn’t fit her usual target.

He is a trifecta of hot man -- biker, Marine, cowboy. And everything that Casey avoids in a man. He's a normal guy. And she's all about rich, easy, and expendable.

What happens when the girl who doesn’t want strings begins to change her mind? And what will happen when the guy she sets her sights on isn’t a local?

From Casey’s seemingly carefree attitude, to Tenn’s ability to see straight past the walls she’s kept up for so long, I loved every moment of these two. When things got tough, they did what needed doing to support each other, even when those supports cost them.

The entire Last Call gang is back in some form or another. Hunter and Brody play protective older brothers, and I loved what happened after they met and approved of Tenn. Casey’s reaction to some of their actions was just priceless. The girls rallied around, pushed, and supported Casey as each situation required and it was fun to see them and the men back in action again. And the introduction to some Wyoming characters is a great teaser for a future spin off. I loved what we saw of Woolf, and think he has a story waiting for us.

I knew Casey’s book was going to have some hurdles, with the persona she has projected through the rest of the series and her avoidance of anything with a commitment, and this delivered on all counts. There was great drama, great emotion, and great fun!

He’s utterly alone…

Tortured and existing in a dark spiral of despair, bestselling British author, Gavin Cooke, has come to the Outer Banks of North Carolina to escape the seedy lifestyle he had been living in London and in a desperate attempt to regain his writing focus. He’s twisted, bitter and angry at the world. He’s a loner… needing not a single thing other than his Scotch and a laptop upon which he can bang out his next erotic, dark thriller.

She’s running in place and getting nowhere…

Savannah Shepherd’s life is falling apart. Her dream of being a wildlife photographer seems a distant memory and she’s barely able to make ends meet. Driving herself forward with no clear goals apparent, she’s about ready to pack up her bags and head home with her tail between her legs.

Two unlikely lovers…

He’s raw, forceful and a dirty talker. She’s a flowers and romance type of girl. Yet within each other, they find a mutual craving that can only be satisfied by giving in to their desires for one another.

Lust turns into something more… something they were not looking for but tentatively accept. Will it be enough to push them past the obstacles of Gavin’s bitter past?
