When it comes to passion this hot, it’s all or nothing.
Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down.

An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn.

With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.

The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not. Olivia Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through college so she can return home to help her father run his business. She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him, even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white. But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.

Cash is everything she’s always wanted in a guy. He’s a dangerous, sexy bad boy who wants her in his bed at any cost. He turns her insides to mush and, with just one kiss, makes her forget why he’s no good for her. Nash is everything she’s ever needed in a guy. He’s successful, responsible and intensely passionate. But he’s taken. Very taken, by none other than Marissa, Liv’s rich, beautiful cousin. That doesn’t stop Olivia from melting every time he looks at her, though. With just one touch, he makes her forget why they can never be together.

Black and white turns to shades of gray when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in love. With both of them. Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire. She wants them both. And they want her. How will she ever choose between them?

Up To Me(Book 2):

For Olivia, romantic bliss has never felt so right as it does with Cash. Unpredictable, except when it comes to satisfying her desires, Cash’s bad boy reputation is well-earned, but he’s turning his life around with the one woman who accepts him for who he is.

Until strangers from the past turn Olivia and Cash’s world upside down. What they want is something only Cash can give them. And if he doesn’t deliver, then they’re taking the one thing that Cash values the most.

Olivia always knew that in falling for Cash she was likely to get burned. But this new threat is beyond anything she imagined. Now she has to trust Cash with her life—and for Olivia that’s much easier than letting go, and trusting him with her heart.

4 to 4.5 stars

"You're everything I didn't know I needed, but everything I always knew I wanted."

This review contains spoilers for Down to You and Up to Me so do not read if you have not read the first two books in this series. This is not a stand alone series and the books need to be read in order to understand.

As much as I liked Cash and even "fake Nash", the real Nash was a little harder to take. He was rough, edgy, angry, sarcastic, rude, unfeeling, and a basically an a-hole. But he was also totally sexy, intense, and almost overwhelming. He had shut down his emotions and lived seven years with only revenge on his mind. His transition back into the real world was difficult, confusing, and challenging. He lacked the charm and vulnerability of his brother, Cash. And we learn more about the missing seven years throughout the book and gain an understanding of how Nash ended up as jaded and as closed off as he was.

"I'm trouble."
"I know."
"You'll probably get hurt."
"I know."
"Then you can't say I didn't warn you."
"I know."

It's almost as though he resists the help, the emotion of other people. He's a loner, stranded on an island of anger and bitterness. he needs rescuing. He just doesn't know it yet. And that's the moment I realize that yes, he is trouble. And that no, it won't keep me away from him. Nothing will.

I disliked Marissa immensely in the other two books, but I honestly liked her in this one. The kidnapping and Nash are a big wake up call for her. She starts coming into her own, realizing how shallow she was, and wanting to change for the better. But it is hard shedding the woman everyone believed her to be and facing up to the people around her. She shows regret, guilt, vulnerability, and there was a sweetness to her that we never saw before. She became a real person vs. the Stepford Daughter she was before.

He feels like rebellion. And freedom.Like a salvation of sorts. I just didn't know until recently that I needed saving.

Nash likes control. Marissa is used to being in control. Together they become completely out of control. They have a magnetic pull and scorching hot chemistry. I mean seriously hot. I thought Cash was hot, but I think the real Nash has him beat. he just oozes charisma and sexuality and his controlling, dangerous  personality just makes it that much more intense.

It's like we're combustible, like we have one default setting between us--fire.

But Nash is very conflicted and is resistant to getting sucked into anything real or resembling a relationship. He fights with all he has. And Marissa was warned and knew what she was getting into with Nash, but still cannot help but want more. I really liked the changes in Marissa. She matured, changed her thinking, and handled herself in difficult situations. She understood and appreciated Nash despite his rough exterior and his emotional damage. And Nash could see through to the true Marissa that had lurked under her polished, perfect mask that she used to wear. But he had many secrets and one of them (that was a big surprise) could be the one thing that really sends Marissa running. They were both broken. And together they could make each other whole. It was just a matter of admitting what they both really needed and wanted, and more importantly feeling like they truly deserved it.  And of course, staying alive.

I never really wanted to tame him or contain him. I just wanted to be a part of his freedom, to fly with him. I wanted to be more like him, not try to make him more like me.

And yes, we see more of Cash and Olivia. They are on good terms, but the danger and uncertainty weigh heavily on them. This also deals with Cash and Nash reconnecting and facing their feelings of loss, guilt, anger, and jealousy. There is suspense, danger, surprises, mysteries, omissions, and lies.  They must all work together to try to uncover all of the secrets from the past, keep them safe, deal with the bad influences trying to take them all down, and secure their future.

I think the fact that I had to really learn to like these two characters and that they grew on me, made me like this one even more. And they both had such damage and issues that it added a depth to their relationship. I found myself really invested in them and hoping that they could heal enough to get their acts together. I was frustrated, in anticipation, and really wanted to lock them in a room and just let them go at it!

I really enjoyed this series because it is full of suspense, secrets, and surprises. The characters are well developed, intriguing, and the interactions are fun and interesting. I have to admit that since it had been a while since I read the other two, I had to go back and refer back a little bit. And there are still things after the fact that make me go hmmmm especially as to how they would really explain all of the multiple identities of Cash and Nash since they got so convoluted. Definitely makes you think even after you put it down. But they are fun, steamy, romantic, suspenseful reads with surprises and twists.

I am here to scream to the world that I have a sinful new addiction, a new book boyfriend to obsess over. Thank you, M. Leighton, for feeding this infatuation and for providing us with the perfect specimen of a man. Sigh, the raw grittiness to this character completely turns me inside out. You NAILED Nash Davenport (and for the record, I would give my left arm to nail this man). Seriously, what is there not to adore about a man full of dominating alpha attitude. How can you not admire someone who knows exactly what he or she wants and stops at nothing to obtain it. Personally, I would love a man who wanted me so completely that he ignored anything resembling proper behavior, and went after me with everything he has, not giving a f*** about the consequences. This is exactly the type of man Nash is. He sees. He wants. He conquers. Have I convinced you that our hero is a worthy read yet? Well if not, then continue. I promise I have a lot more raving to do over this one half of the Davenport twins.

"In fact, now might be a good time to warn you that if we come back to this library, I'll find out for myself. In this very spot. I'll push you up against the books in the corner and I'll put my hands on you, I'll do things to you. In the quiet. And you won't be able to make a sound. Not a whimper, not a moan. You'll have to bite your lip to keep it all inside. And you know what? You'll love ever second of it."

Nash, um, Nash is so deliciously naughty. This man made me want him something fierce; I am a total sucker for bad asses. Nash is the definition of badass. I totally got off on how straight forward and in your face his personality was. Since the beginning of this series, I have been a Cash fan, nothing about Nash did it for me, until this book. I am now a firm believer in change. My loyalty has changed, my team has changed, and there is no going back for me. I am TEAM NASH's #1 fan. That man is pure sin, even if he can be a wicked a** hat with anger issues at times. That is what made him so engaging, not to mention the fact that his nature is just a tad bit rougher around the edges. It leans towards a harder, darker, thoughtless Nash, then we see in the previous two books. His past, his exile has left him damaged and broken. Everything about his current temperament drew me in like a moth to a flame. I honestly could not get enough of him. Nash is definitely intriguing to say the least. My favorite part about his character is the way he tells you exactly as it is. What you see is what you get, there is nothing hidden when it comes to this bad boy. I would say that his character is the sole reason this story captured my attention, but I would be lying. He actually had some help in delivering this intense chemistry filled adventure.

"I crave everything he represents. He feels like rebellion. And freedom. Like a salvation of sorts. I just didn't know until recently that I needed saving."

Marissa also played a part in the success of this book. This pleasantly surprised me since I have never been a fan of hers. Nicely put that woman was a complete and total stuck up bitch...notice I said nicely put. However, in this book she was a rockin' heroine. I quickly came to like her, and to be honest I ended the book with a slight girl crush. If I had to choose a chick for our hero, I would say the author was spot on with her choice. These two brought out the best in each other. I had so much fun watching them battle it out, the nice part is the fight and flight syndrome wasn't overwhelming between them. It didn't take over the whole story, nor did it take long for them to come to their senses. I loved that Michelle twisted Marissa's demeanor to undergo a 360-degree change in Everything. It really was a refreshing change of events, since Nash was already a controlling hard ass. I think if Marissa hadn't softened up and seen the error in her ways, it would have been too over the top. It's not always fun to read so much constant angst and unnecessary clashing. Kudos to any author who can take an unlikable character and make her sudden change of heart feel realistic and believable. With that said, sometimes it's hard for me to go from disliking a character very much to loving her within the same series, although that is exactly what happened as Marissa tries to make amends for her atrocious behavior and treatment of others. Shockingly, I found I loved her character even more than Olivia's. In my opinion, Nash and Marissa are truly a match made in heaven.

Don't fret Cash fans, you get to see plenty of him and Olivia! I enjoyed spending time with them again.

Everything for Us is a great ending filled with romance, temptation, suspense, twists, and redemption. It is the perfect balance between naughty and nice. Once again, Ms. Leighton entertained us with a riveting plot and entertaining thought provoking characters that are written with compelling depth and development.
