Sometimes you meet the right person at the wrong time…

Mark Williams has loved Meredith since he was seventeen. A successful man with a strong family, he’s worked hard to move on from Meredith breaking his heart all those years ago. When his path crosses with the only woman he’s ever loved again years later, Mark knows there is nothing he won’t do to keep her in his life. But when the going gets tough, will Meredith stick around or will he lose her again?

…But true love has a way of finding its way back.

Meredith Summers is a dancer. One of the first things she learned in following her dreams is that timing is everything. She has spent the past ten years following her dream touring with mega-stars while trying to forget the high school sweetheart she left behind. Now she’s back in Seattle, running a successful dance studio with her best friend Jax and determined to move on from her gypsy past. Until the day she sees Mark Williams and time stands still. It’s as if no time has passed at all when Meredith finds herself in Mark’s arms again. The chemistry, the bonds and the love are as strong as ever and hearing Mark whisper breathe with me in her ear is a balm to her wounded soul. But will she grab onto this second chance at love, or is the timing all wrong for them again?

Don't miss catching up with the Montgomery and Williams clans in this latest installment of the With Me In Seattle Series from New York Times bestselling author, Kristen Proby.

“There were days that I would have exchanged a year of my life just to touch you one more time.” –Mark Williams

"Just breathe, M. Just breathe with me.""

Mark Williams and Meredith Summers were perfect together as teenagers, sharing many firsts and were totally in love. But their timing was all off and it turned to heart break. Ten years later she is back home and building a new life and their paths finally cross again. Neither of them really ever moved on.

“There were days that I would have exchanged a year of my life to just touch you one more time.”

Once reunited, they quickly regain their affection, connection, and chemistry and soon they are right back together and falling back in love. But they have grown up and changed, and both have trust issues, fears, and insecurities.

Mark was completely swoony. He was devoted, loving, sexy, funny, and charming. I could not help but love him. He was very involved with his family and friends and just such a good guy.

"What is it with the Williams' men? You're all so freaking mushy." (Jules)

Meredith was sassy, talented, and caring. But she did really make a controversial choice when they were younger that changed both of their lives. I will admit, I kind of held it against it for a bit. But she was really likable too.  And she was still dealing with her own issues of loss  and fear.

Together they were soul mates that got a second chance at love and following their dreams. They had an easy rapport and just seemed to fit.

"I love you so much it hurts to breathe, Meredith."

I loved Meredith's outrageous best friend, Jax and his significant other, Logan. They were dynamic, supportive, and so much fun. Throwing them in with the women was hilarious.

This was told in both Mark and Meredith's points of view allowing both their worries and happiness to show. The first part of the book in the present was kind of quiet, not too angsty or dramatic. I was thinking to myself that this was all almost too happy and easy. It was sweet, romantic, funny, and  full of sexy times. The last third of the book took on an even more humorous turn during a group event with all of the crazy clan being uninhibited (yes there was plenty of alcohol involved). They really cracked me up and we got to spend time with all of the previous couples.

And then after that it picked up more and became even more romantic, a bit more dramatic, and by the end I had a big smile on my face a a few happy tears. There was lots of catching up with the Williams, Montgomery, and McKenna clans and all of their offspring. This series has truly become a family affair now. There is just one more brother to go, Dom, who will be the subject of Forever with Me. His story was hinted at a bit in this one.

Kristen Proby writes the kind of book that feels light and easy, right up until the point it’s not. Reading Breathe With Me felt smooth, like a classic second chance love story -- a few slight bumps, but overall a couple who were each other’s first loves find each other and slip back in to being a couple. When Meredith’s present and past appear to collide, that easiness slipped away quickly.

There were days I would have traded a year of my life to touch you again.

Matt has always been one of the quiet brothers. He never bragged (too much) about women, never brought them home. And with this book, we learn why. After his heart was broken by his high school sweetheart, he closed himself off and refused to have much more than one night stands with women.

As it turns out the woman who runs the dance studio several of the next generation Williams and Montgomerys attend is the girl who broke Matt’s heart after high school. After a decade of living in New York chasing her dance career, she has returned to open her own studio along with her dance partner, Jax.

This second chance for both Meredith and Mark was easier said than done. Both had to work to trust the other, for different but clear reasons.

Jax was a fun addition to this group of characters. Both as a support for Meredith and on his own, the book would not have been the same without him. He has his own story that is briefly hinted at, and his own journey to make during the course of this book.

It was so nice to see the rest of the Williams-Montgomery families and where they are in their lives. One of my favorite recurring scenes in this series is when the girls get together for Girls’ Night. As usual, when these girls get together, inhibitions lower, and the bedroom secrets come out with hilarious results.

This series is coming to a close soon, and though I will be sad to say goodbye to the Williams and Montgomery families, it feels like the perfect time -- long enough that we’ve seen many of the same faces for a while, but not long enough to feel like it’s continuing just to continue.
