Parker Black wants the one woman he shouldn’t have—his buddy’s girl. She sweet and smart, but clueless about how deep Parker lives in Titan’s virtual world. Everything is controlled. Chaos is mastered. Black and white data and risk analyst. That is the way he understands his world, how he plays his role to keep Titan teams alive.

But he’s wrong.

About everything.
Lexi Dare lives two lives. She’s an unhappy fiancé stuck in a spiraling relationship, unsure how she ended up with a ring on her finger and an abuser in her bed. But she’s also elusive. Elite. A master hacker playing deadly stakes.

When the lines blur and the truth comes out, Lexi’s only shot at survival is the trust of her rival—her equal—before it’s too late.

Parker Black's world is black and white. He is one of the good guys and follows the rules. He is in control, logical, and studies all the variables and risks. He is ruled by facts and not emotion. He is an expert and can fix most situations in a virtual sense and lives in anonymity behind a computer screen.

But Lexi Dare brings complications and chaos to his logical, ordered world. Not only does she have threats against her, but she is stubborn and determined to deal with it on her own.  He is his friend's fiance so should be off limits. But he finds himself wanting to be her protector and getting involved in a tense situation. And in addition to her personal problems, her own hidden  skills are getting attention.
Caught up in a world of elite hackers, technology, and military and terrorist plots, this is a battle being played in Parker's arena. But even the players don't now who the real people behind the computers are.

During the process, Lexi is finding herself again. She is trying to put her broken pieces back together and to find her inner strength and determination.  Parker is learning that sometimes the world is more grey or full of color than just black and white. He is figuring out what it means to care about someone besides his co-workers and friends and to be the man who wants it all. Parker is more than a computer nerd, he is hot, alpha, sexy and Titan. He's got skills, he's got motivation and resources, and he is determined to get his girl.

But getting her will only be half the battle. She has issues with decreased self worth and does not trust herself or others. She has scars from her past and  Parker can sometimes seem too good to be true.

And in the midst of the cyber-secret-geeks-in love-story is also a tale of terrorism and military targets. Lexi's  newest project is important enough to put all of their lives at risk. Not to mention her ex is not ready to let her go so easily. So there is suspense, action, and danger surrounding them. I loved that this lets him not only use his super cyber skills that he excels at, but also lets him get out from behind the computer monitors and be the hero as well.

I have always like Parker and his unwavering support of the Titan team and their women. I loved seeing him expand his horizons outside the computer screen and code an find a partner perfectly suited for him in intelligence, interests,  personality, and background. They really complimented each other and had good rapport and chemistry.

I loved getting more with all of the members of the Titan families including baby and pregnancy updates. They truly do protect their own and I am just so attached to all of these characters. Looks like some new members will be joining the team, so I am looking forward to more Titan stories as well as Delta stories.

This was a bit different with all of the hacking and technology, but it still has a Titan feel with suspense, danger, action, threats, and rescues. But it was also a story of friendship, hope, and love. The extended time epilogue had me smiling big.

Parker Black is the behind the scenes man at Titan. He knows where everyone is, where all their resources are, and how to take care of any situation that has to do with a computer. He is black and white, code, and data analysis. But when he finds himself attracted to his friend’s fiance, he struggles with what is right and what is beyond his control.

Silver Chaos is both a celebrity and an enigma in the hacker world. One of the best, no one actually knows who or where Silver is. But Parker has used his expertise in coding and hacking many times over their careers.

Lexi Reynolds doesn’t correct anyone when they assume Silver Chaos is a man. She is perfectly happy to keep her anonymity when it comes to her professional talents. But her shaky personal relationship and a professional threat cause her to begin questioning everything she knew about who she was and what she does.

As their worlds collide and the truth comes out, both must decide what they are willing to sacrifice and what is worth the fight.

I cannot imagine a more perfect match for Parker than Lexi. She’s smart, a tech-savvy hacker, and they even share some similarities in their backgrounds. I loved these two together, and loved watching Parker figure out what Mia meant when she told him it was ok to color outside the lines.

Parts of this story were absolutely page-turning, edge of my seat action, but others were a less threatening form of action. This makes sense as Parker and Lexi are both very much on the tech side of ops and hacking, and it is hard to make sitting in coffee shops waiting for online deals to happen overly exciting. I think for what the story was, it was a great way to take care of the characters and move the story along.

This was more than a simple Titan mission. Lexi also had some bad history that had to be dealt with. Her thought processes echo those of others who live in the same situations, but that doesn’t make it any easier to read. I wished I could just give her a hug, or some confidence at several points in order to help her along.

Black Dawn may not have bumped my favorite Titan books out of their spots, but it is a solid story with great characters and made for a great escape. I have loved Parker for a long time, and didn’t like watching his feelings as he watched all his partners find their women while he was left the odd man out. This was a great mix of hacker culture, Titan operating procedure, and the family behind the Titan group.
