What’s mine, I keep, and that includes Keira Kilgore.
It’s no longer enough to have her in my debt. No longer enough to own her body.
I want something more.
She can try to resist, but I’ll never give her up.
Nothing will keep us apart.
Not her. Not my enemies. No one.
This is it! The final chapter for Lachlan Mount and Keira Kilgore...one way or another. This brings us the answers of where they came from and how they came to cross paths. The baring of secrets. The chance to accept them or retreat. And the determination of two people to get what they want and need no matter what the cost in an environment that will never be safe.
Life or death situations have a tendency to bring realizations and emotional acceptance. Thoughts of loss can crystallize feelings and needs on a faster timeline. There is pain and passion. It is not all love and life, but also danger and death. There are so many freakin' twists, surprises, secrets, and tense moments that my head was spinning. I am usually good at figuring out the twists ahead of time, but I have to admit that my mind was blown several times during this installment.

In this world, life is a dangerous game and they are merely pieces on a chessboard. There are Kings, Queens, Pawns, and power plays. But it takes intelligence, drive, and the best strategy and commitment to win.
Mount is a man with his own sense of honor that is edged in power and violence. He takes no mercy on his enemies and protects those he sees as innocent. He demands fear, intimidation, and respect. But the most important thing he needs now is Keira's acceptance and hopefully a choice to stand by his side and be his Queen that he never knew he needed. He always thought being attached would be a weakness, but he could be wrong. She seems to breathe light into his darkness, provides strength when he needs it, and is a strong-willed hellion in her own right. She pushes him like no one else, and manages to calm his beast while also inspiring him and giving him purpose.
This is the culmination of their volatile journey through hell to get to the place they never expected was possible. And the pain and sacrifice involved in trying to be able to accept it and keep it.
This trilogy has seen huge changes in their dynamics and growth both individually and together. These characters are so well developed that they come alive from the pages. I have felt all of their complex emotions and fears. Even when there were situations that could turn me off, I still liked the characters and believed there was more under the surface than what I knew.
This is the final reveal of all the layers and digs deep into their hearts, minds, and motives for how everything came to be. So much happens and they have so much to deal with. This final installment kept me guessing, blindsided me with twist after twist, and took me places I never expected. And I loved every second of it. Suspense, danger, and threats are a part of their lives. There are so many strong emotions that bleed off the pages...pain, fear, lust, love, passion, guilt, anger, confusion, frustration, and desperation. I was completely invested in the characters and their outcome.
Lachlan and Keira's story is nothing short of epic. Meghan March took a dark, untouchable, and dangerous man who is an anti-hero at best and made me care about him and understand him. And this heroine is feisty, smart, and brave. Their convoluted course was out of the ordinary and did not run smoothly. They are a match made in Heaven or Hell, and they are intense, stubborn, and volatile. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing this complicated, dynamic, and darkly passionate story unfold. It kept me completely mesmerized and enthralled from beginning to end. I could not put these books down and was torn with both wanting to read faster to know what happened and wanting to slow down so they would never end.
I will never forget these characters or their unique and twisted journey. This entire trilogy is no doubt one of my top reads for 2017 with this final installment being one of only two six star reads for me this year.

The final piece of Lachlan and Keira’s story is here at last! This couple pulled me in from the beginning and the desire to see their full story hasn’t left since that very first page.
As Lachlan built his empire, he became the feared anti-hero we met in Ruthless King. But as the series progressed, we finally learned more about him, and Meghan March turned what should have been a villainous character into one worth fighting for, one the I wanted to cheer for.
Keira is a strong woman in her own right, but the things she learned about herself throughout the first two books drove her decisions in this book. And similar can be said for Mount. As readers learn more about this mysterious kingpin, his motivations make more sense and the choices he makes become more than just a boss dictating life or death for those around him.
The twists and turns that Sinful Empire leads these two on had me constantly guessing and changing my guesses, and I was more often surprised at the outcomes than not. I loved how I wasn’t able to guess the direction that several story threads ended up going, even though I thought things would turn out a different way.
Once again, I fell in love with one of Meghan’s couples in book 1, and spent the rest of the series rooting for them to work out whatever issues lay between them. Sinful Empire was the perfect ending for them, with the same passion and energy that has been building throughout the series.

Get ready for the darker and dirtier side of New Orleans with a brand new alpha romance from USA Today bestselling author Meghan March.
New Orleans belongs to me.
You don’t know my name, but I control everything you see—and all the things you don’t.
My reach knows no bounds, and my demands are always met.
I didn’t need to loan money to a failing family distillery, but it amuses me to have them in my debt.
To have her in my debt.
She doesn’t know she caught my attention.
She should’ve been more careful.
I’m going to own her. Consume her. Maybe even keep her.
It’s time to collect what I’m owed.
Keira Kilgore, you’re now the property of Lachlan Mount.

Defiant Queen...
I’m his entertainment. His toy. Payment on a debt.
I tell myself I hate him, but every time he walks into the room, my body betrays me. How can I want him and fear him in the same moment?
They told me he’d mess with my head. Make it go to war with my body.
But I didn’t realize it would be complete anarchy.
I should’ve known better. When Mount’s involved, there are no rules.
I will not surrender. I will not show weakness. I’ll stand my ground and make it out of this bargain with my heart and soul intact.
But he has other plans . . .
Defiant Queen is the second book of the Mount Trilogy. Mount and Keira's story concludes in Sinful Empire.
Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She's also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she's ever had. She loves hearing from her readers at meghanmarchbooks@gmail.com
