This world is richly crafted with a lush club setting, dangerous players, and wealthy and powerful men. It is a spin-off from the dirty world so there are some familiar characters. This book had me full of tension and totally invested in this couple. I loved the hero...a cocky a hole with a heart that he did not even realize the full potential of. And the plucky heroine is a chameleon that can usually go with the flow in any situation. But this is no ordinary club, and these are no ordinary people, and the stakes are the highest. She cannot afford to make any mistakes or miscalculations.
I freakin' cannot wait for book two. Like OMFG, that ending left me with my mouth open and cursing the author's name! Damn you, Meghan March!

From the beginning I was tied up in these two. Cannon is trying to walk the line of keeping his father happy, helping build a truce between dueling families, and living his own life his own way. Drew is tenacious, determined to get into Cannon’s club to investigate her own suspicions. Neither counted on falling for the other, but by the time they realize feelings are tangled up, and first impressions may not be truth, the danger is increasing and each has to decide what they are willing to pay.
I loved this one so much I read it and listened to it on audio within a week of each other. March’s duets continue to get better and better. Her characters are compelling, the plot is gripping, and I couldn’t put this pair down! I was shocked with the cliff at the end (as she is so great at doing) and I could not wait to get my hands on book 2. This is the start of a fantastic duet filled with suspense, danger, and passion.
