Nadia is confident, sassy, outspoken, and wealthy. Her high power job and income are intimidating to many men so her love life has been in the dumps. She has never gotten close enough to anyone to even lose her V card. She is leaving Vegas to return herself and her football team home and has a lot of work to do. And she is also ready to attend her brother's wedding.
Crosby is charming, easygoing, fun, and superstitious. He has made a string of bad choices in women that have affected his reputation and trust. He tends to let women in too soon and ends up getting hurt. So he has decided to bench himself from dating and make his friends act as accountability partners. He has the brilliant idea of buddying up with his best friend's sister to attend the wedding and other sports-related events in the near future to keep him out of trouble.
Unfortunately, the buddy thing does not seem to be working so well. Old crushes, witty rapport, simmering attraction, and genuinely enjoying each other's company starts to blur the lines. A kiss, some naughty text flirting, and an idea of possible friends-with-benefits sends thoughts skipping down another path. These two are absolutely not supposed to be getting involved...but tell that to their bodies, minds, and hearts. They can't lose their friendship, but what will this mean for them?
This is a low angst, sexy, witty, best-friend's-sister, friends-to-lovers, ready-to-lose-virginity rom-com. I loved Crosby and Nadia. They were so much fun together and I could feel their connection and chemistry. I enjoyed that they had history, but they had never really addressed any of it. So there was some old stuff to unpack along with the newness of spending time together now. They trust and respect the other enough to be vulnerable, and are flirty, and even a bit dirty. Nadia might be inexperienced, but she is not pure and innocent, and Crosby oozes sex appeal, but also has a soft heart. They have their rules but they seem to be changing too.
