It was only supposed to be one time. But that red-hot one night stand from the party?
The sexy man in the suit who gave me more Os in a few hours than I've had in a year?
Turns out my charming British stranger is keeping a little secret.
He's as much of a whiz in the kitchen as he is in the bedroom and soon we'll be going head-to-head in NYC's biggest bake off.
My one-time lover is now my enemy. I vow to loathe him for all eternity, though that would be easier if I wasn't dying to get naked with him again.
But the more I learn more about my rival, the more I suspect he just might be everything I've wanted...
If only I knew how to let him in...
GOOD TO BE BAD is a sexy standalone romance in the Good Love series!
Gigi James is dedicated to making her pie shop the best. She is a goddess at making pies, but terrible at keeping men. So she is not looking for love, but a distraction might be okay. She is spunky, smart, quirky, competitive, and a perfectionist.
West Byron is a Brit transplanted to Boston and is a great match for her at a game night at a bar. They flirt and banter and challenge each other with equally matched skills. He is handsome, witty, and charming. And he is a lively partner in her bed that night. But she had no idea they soon would be competitors in other ways.
They both have reasons that they want to win a certain competition. She just needs to avoid the further temptation of the not-so-sweet-and-totally-naughty things she knows he can do to her body...and keep her eyes on the prize.
One-night-stand? Enemies? Competitors? Friends? Fling? Neither thinks they want a real relationship. But seem to keep playing with fire. It is a bit convoluted and hard to resist.
Is the other one just too good to be true or do they have the potential to be the sweetest thing?
This is a low angst, flirty, funny, competitors-in-love, sweet, and sexy romp. These two are adorable together and have great chemistry and bedroom compatibility. I loved that they could bond over board games, but were both intent on not playing games with the other person's emotions. They both had some realizations to come to, but they were both genuinely honest and caring people who had been burned before.
There is a fun group of side characters of friends and family filling out the story, some of them have appeared in other books. But this can also be read as a total stand-alone.
Gigi is dedicated to her family’s pie shop, and winning an upcoming competition is exactly what she needs to continue to build Sweetie Pies’ reputation. She is focused, sharp, and loves a good board game. She is also down to earth, sweeter than her pies, and has the biggest heart. One-night-stand? Enemies? Competitors? Friends? Fling? Neither thinks they want a real relationship. But seem to keep playing with fire. It is a bit convoluted and hard to resist.

West is just starting out on the path to living the dream he and his sister cooked up years ago. Reluctantly, he is competing, but only because his sister wants the win so badly. He is protective, swoony, and has a British accent to boot.
They hit it off one night before they take the time to connect the dots on each others’ identity. Shared interests and off the charts chemistry make for a night neither are keen to end. I loved the repartee between these two - they are a perfect match. Add their chemistry to rival sweet shops, a baking competition, and the return of a nemesis and this book had lots of entertainment stirring without a lot of extra angst.
This was a fun, sweet, sexy story. It stands alone perfectly, though there are a few side characters who had appeared in other books. This would have made for a fun weekend read (if I hadn’t started it at the beginning of a crazy work-week) as it is the perfect length for a few days of escape. I loved how the characters’ stories fit into the backdrop of the cooking competition and how they worked together to support those around them.
