Kieran Bailey is a Chicago firefighter who has lived his social life in the straight lane despite the fact that both his brothers are gay and in love. He is hot, charming, and brave.

But when he rescues a sequin and heel-clad Bash from a burning building, a spark flickers. And the more times they get together the more an unexpected attraction smolders and begins to ignite. 

But Kieran does not quite know what to do with his newfound interest. And Bash is not usually one to pursue men who identify as straight. And Bash is only in town for a short while and loves his South Haven home and friends. 

But if the fire gets too hot maybe one of them will get burned. 

I loved the dynamic between these two. They challenge and dare each other to step out of their comfort zones. Kieran has almost this sense of wonder over how fierce and fabulous Bash is. And his reaction to Bash just astounds him. And Bash knows he is playing with flirty fire but cannot seem to stop himself. They have a fun rapport and hot chemistry. And there is just this honest nature to their bond that does not make sense to either of them. 

I enjoyed being back in these worlds and loved all the cameos. All the men are back! I was sad to get to the last page and cannot wait for the next two.
