Emerson is a plucky, sassy, organized, make-up artist and YouTube vegan food reviewer. She is on the cusp of making her dreams come true with her sexy, fun food review show with her good friend, Nolan. So if she may have a wayward thought of how cute or hot he is, she tries to keep it on the back burner. 

Nolan is a charismatic, flirty, charmer who is the perfect partner for their witty veggie vs. carnivore food show. They speak flirt and innuendo well and have a wonderful rapport that engages their fans and many assume they are a real-life couple. He has experience as a chef and hustles to try to make their venture successful. He strives to prove to himself and others that he can make it, and never stops trying. 

They have been friends for over a decade and only shared a kiss in all that time. And now they are going back to the scene of the crime. Now new opportunities and close-quarters might stir up those crushes that they have tried to keep hidden over the years. Temptation sometimes becomes so much that it overcomes denial and resistance and all you can do is live in the moment and deal with the potential fall-out.

I adored their personalities and their dynamic. These two are just magic together. They are quick-witted, funny, and their rapport is flirty and entertaining. They are so close, but at the same time try to guard their hearts. They are different in some ways but balance each other out. Their friendship is solid. They have common goals. They have history and unresolved feelings but have been afraid to rock the boat and mess anything up. But sometimes things just happen...

But they also are on a mission to make their dreams come true and need to avoid distractions and complications. And they cannot afford to blow this big opportunity. But along the way, they are learning more about themselves and each other. Temptation and feelings are hard to keep a lid on. 

This is a fun, adventurous, sexy, friends-to-lovers, second chance, rom-com that made me smile, laugh, and swoon. It has so much heart and all the feels. I giggled at some of the craziness they encountered during their travels and shows. My heart was totally invested in these two throughout the story. I loved that they had made mistakes and had some flaws and vulnerabilities, but they were so motivated and cared so much about success not only for themself but for the other person. 

They have a good crew of friends who can see right through their denial so they both support them and tell them like it is. There are some great side characters and cameos. I love Nolan's relationship with his football player younger brother, Jason, and friend, TJ.  I am looking forward to more from them hopefully and also the next book in this series as well.
