Chase has just retired from a successful twelve-year career in pro baseball. He is a divorced single dad and ready to settle down and spend time with his kids. He never expected that his son's baseball coach would turn out to be someone from his past. 

When in college, Chase and Gage spent one year as roommates and best friends, and shared one unexpected encounter. But then it all changed when Gage abruptly had to leave school. Almost two decades later, they both are divorced and devoted fathers. Their sons are even best friends.

As they re-establish their friendship, they also shake loose thoughts of that one night. And the more time they spend together, the more they want to. 

This is low angst, sweet, sexy, but also family-oriented, friends-to-lovers, bi-awakening, single dads, secret hookups, and second chance romance. I felt there could have been a bit more relationship development and tension. The guys had one college experiment, did not see each other for seventeen years, and then it seemed like they were ready to jump in and move fast.  There is some minor angst but it is mostly external. But it was a straightforward, easy, heartfelt read. I did really like the guys individually and together, and loved how devoted they were to all of their kids.
