I love how confident he is in his full figure, and there’s nothing like being in his beefy arms.
Spencer has me wanting more for the first time in my life, and he’s determined to help with my disordered eating, but if I want a healthy future with him, I need to work toward being healthy for myself too.

Corbin Erickson is known as The Charmer on their podcast. He comes off as playful, funny, flirty, confident, and easy-going. He’s popular for posting thirst traps on social media. He has seen his three best friends fall in love, and now he’s thinking that he might want to find a boyfriend for himself.
Spencer Chase is his neighbor and they’ve been at odds since he moved in. Corbin is not sure why Spencer has held a grudge against him. But when a little alcohol helps Corbin open up and they clear the air, a new tentative bond is formed. Spencer is a full-figured, confident, sweet, caring, and protective teddy bear. He goes right into caretaker mode and they end up coming up with the idea of being cuddle buddies and that leads to being friends.
But the closer they get, the more Spencer sees Corbin’s hidden truths. He’s a broken boy who has been scarred by his past. He is constantly looking for acceptance and he needs people to validate his self-worth. He feels unworthy, is terrified of gaining weight back, and not being perfect. He has disordered eating and decreased self-esteem, but he has a group of friends that love him and will do anything for him. And now Spencer wants to be one of those men. He just has to get Corbin to believe in him and also himself. I loved how Spencer could both challenge and support Corbin.
This is a witty, sweet, sexy, opposites-attract, hurt-comfort, size difference, second-chance romance with emotional undertones and a lot of healing needed. It deals with some difficult topics but handles them with care. It's about trust, acceptance, self-worth, safety, healing, and found family.
This ties up the Vers podcast series. I’ve come to love this group of friends and their significant others. I’m also interested in a side character that seems to be getting a spin-off series.
