Just before walking down the aisle, Aubrey’s groom calls off the wedding. Rather than have her face the uncomfortable crowd, her brother’s two good friends whisk her from the ceremony and spend the day distracting her. When reality comes crashing again with the reminder that she has a non-refundable honeymoon, Dev and Ledger volunteer to accompany her on the trip. What happens on the honeymoon will have all 3 considering more than just a quick getaway and target of opportunity.

I loved these three as they navigated Aubrey’s honeymoon. Everything just clicked for them on that trip and I loved the way the guys looked out for her. She may have been having her own cold feet prior to the wedding, but it still came as a shock that her groom-to-be was not at all interested in the kind of relationship she thought they were building. Dev and Ledger were the perfect support as she sorted out what she wanted. But when they return to reality after the trip, Aubrey has a lot to sort through as she considers her previous relationship and what she wants from the future.

I would have liked a little bit more of a connection (or the exploration of) between Dev and Ledger, but I also loved the way they were completely focused on Aubrey. This is completely my personal preference though, because I guess I need that romantic connection to make a circle when there are 3 partners. Though the swords may not cross, they have a solid friendship and can read each other well, providing exactly what Aubrey needs (even when that is time and space).

This was a fun, hot exploration of a reverse harem with a runaway bride and one bed. There were great cameos from previous characters, and the throuples that make up previous books as well. This whole hockey world that Lauren Blakely is creating is filled with great characters, a lot of spicy, and a lot of fun!
