Release date February 20. 2024
It’s funny how you can wake up one day and realize that everything you’ve ever wanted has been right in front of your face all along.
McCormick
I’ve had some dark days.
The day I lost my leg.
The day I took a handful of innocent lives.
The day I watched my buddy take his life because he couldn’t live with the consequences of our actions.
They haunt me late at night. I hear them cry out for help.
The only things that quiet the voices; My motorcycle, knitting, and my buddies—Stiles in particular. He’s always there when I need him, and when I don’t.
But the loneliness lingers, and it hurts sometimes.
Stiles
I gave seven years to the Army, and in return, they took my memories. I got caught in the backlash of a land mine that caused a loss of my short-term memory function. I forget little things like appointments, and whether or not I forgot to turn off the stove or lock the door. But kissing my best friend? That’s a huge thing, something I’m not likely to forget.
Another huge thing I can’t forget? That I’m a straight man who doesn’t kiss men.
It’s too bad I’m not attracted to guys because we would be perfect together. In fact, I think we could make it work, as long as he doesn’t make it weird. But… Fuck, McCormick makes everything weird.
Hot Doggin’ is the first Bitches with Stitches novel and is a continuation of the Scars and Stripes
Trilogy. Best friends to lovers | Past trauma/hurt comfort | PTSD/disability/amputee | Motorcycle club | Double bi awakening | Found family | Bad ass men who knit | Stupid hot dog jokes
Oh, McCormick and Stiles. We’ve been seeing these best buddies throughout the Scars and Stripes series, and it was obvious that they were each other‘s platonic soulmates.
Mac is the flame-haired, goofy, sweet, lower extremity amputee who has a big mouth and lacks a bit of common sense. He is sunshine, fun, protective, and secretly sensitive. But he still has demons he fights and can be self-conscious.
Stiles is the grumpy to his sunshine. He’s quieter, steadfast, loyal, and just needs to get his hands dirty in his job as a mechanic, his bike, and his friends. He struggles with memory issues and headaches.
I loved them together. These two are a perfect match. They are each other's Ride or Die. They can read each other like no one else. They are secret cuddle-buddies, love the same TV shows, ride their bikes in a motorcycle club, and are the very best of friends. They know each other's trauma and are there to comfort the other.
Neither of them has had really good luck hooking up or having relationships with women recently, but an unexpected encounter shines a little light on something that neither of them had been willing to really voice or push. But once they kiss, they start to see things a little bit differently. And now that they are in an unexpected roommate situation and around each other even more, things are starting to get hot and it's not just Mac's love of boiled hot dogs.
This is a best-friends-to-lovers, double bi or demi awakening, new roommates, MM romance with two disabled vets and MC club members. It is a bit lighter and more humorous than the previous books, but still has a hurt-comfort and disability aspect. They are surrounded by gay friends in their Bitches with Stitches group. I love how these guys are like brothers and are there for each other.I cannot wait for Pharoh, Jax, and especially Mandy and Tex.
