She’s daddy’s little girl…or she would have been, had he known she existed. Cassie Wainwright thought her father—head coach of the Santa Fe Bobcats—ignored her purposefully. Come to find out, he had no clue she’d ever been born.

Now Cassie is determined to meet the man who’s always been missing from her life. Her mother warns her, being the long-lost daughter of a well-known NFL coach won’t be easy, but Cassie’s determined to stick it out. And before her life turns upside down, she wants one more night of fun.

Starting quarterback for the Santa Fe Bobcats, Trey Owens is tired of being in the limelight. Lucky for him, the beautiful brunette he meets at the club isn’t a local. She has no idea who he is…and she’s down to party.

Tomorrow, Cassie will think about her father. Tomorrow, she’ll think about her future. But tonight is for herself and the hottie she found on dance floor. It’s a matchup made in heaven—if only for a night…

Cassie Wainwright wanted just one wild night of freedom before her life was going to change drastically. She did not count on meeting a hot guy and having one amazing night that surpassed her expectations. But that was all it was supposed to be...one night.

Trey Owens is the popular Quarterback for the Santa Fe Bobcats and is tired of the attention of woman just wanting him for his celebrity status. So the fact that Cassie has no clue who he is just adds to her appeal. But she is determined to leave their night behind and walk away.

He's funny, sweet, and sexy and hell...and he really likes her. But she is trying to find her place in this new environment and she ends up making promises she has to try to keep. She has rules to follow and a reputation to uphold....and one of the rules is no men. But fate seems to be on Trey's side and keeps putting her in his path...right where he wants her.

There are secrets, half-truths and conflicting agendas in play. They are both mixed up in their own PR issues, but do not realize how easily their lives could be intertwined.

Trey was all kinds of sexy, swoony alpha but he never made a secret of the fact that he wanted her for more than just sex. He had a charisma about him, but also vulnerability. He was sweet and loving, but also a little pushy. But he had to be since he was kind a left at her mercy as she was trying to be who others wanted her to be instead of following her own needs. But I totally fell for his personality, his attitude, and his tenacity. And I really felt sorry for the man that rarely had people like them just for himself.

And I really liked her sass and spunk too. But she was in a really confusing time in her life and she was just trying to figure out where she fit in and how to make all the new people in her life happy.  But the negative feedback she would get just enforced her anxiety and worry about the situation. Sometimes she frustrated me because he was just such a good guy and she would hold back, but overall I liked her too. She was really just put in a bad situation all the way around.

Together they had such an easy rapport and good chemistry. But they both had secrets. And once some secrets were revealed it turned into a full-fledged deception as they hid even more from others. And soon they were in a situation that was incredibly complicated and involved more than just themselves. These two were already thrust into the public eye and they couldn't afford any scandals. It didn't matter how much they liked each other, they had to think about everyone and not just themselves.

And when it all comes down to a breaking point will they also be part of the wreckage?

I really liked the side characters especially his friends Stephen and Josiah. Stephen was a big part of the story and I can already tell he would be a good hero for a future book. He has his own set of issues going on at this point. And Josaiah was always there to help Trey clean up the mess. They were so much fun and added comic relief but they also had a tight brotherly bond. We didn't really see much with Killian Reeves, the quiet kicker, but apparently he's going to be the subject of the next book in the series. I would also like to see more with her supportive, calming  friend, Anya who kept her grounded.  And I also grew to like Cassie's sisters, Irene and Mellie.

Overall this is was just the kind of  read I needed last night. Something sweet, fast-paced, funny, and romantic that just made me smile and gave me warm fuzzies. It had drama, secrets, and difficult situations, but overall it was just one of those engaging reads that you just get sucked into and finish in one sitting. It was told in both Cassie and Trey's points of views. I really liked the characters themselves even though they did make me want to smack them a couple of times. There was enough going on with the plot to make it interesting and make me want to keep reading. . I am a sucker for  football player books anyway, so I will definitely continue with the series and look forward to more with more the players.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Jeanette spends her days surrounded by hunky alpha men…at least in her imagination. In real life, she’s a wife and a mother, keeping tabs on her husband of seven years, her four year old daughter (often called Tot) and the family dog, a lovable (but completely stupid) Goldendoodle named Clyde. Hang around long enough and you’re guaranteed to hear at least one or two stories about these three. She and her family currently live just outside of St. Louis.

.What’s with the two names? Great question. Jeanette writes for a few different publishers. And due to the timing of some releases, two names just seemed like the right option. But Jeanette can assure you, no matter which pen name you’re reading, you’re going to get sexy contemporary love..
