Release Blast: Reckless Nights: Karen Erickson
Sometimes dream crushes do come true.
Reagan can’t believe her luck—and not in a good way. One minute she’s hanging out with her friends at an exclusive party in Las Vegas. The next, she’s attracted the attention of a famous actor. Not just any actor. Declan Carter, the man on which she used to—okay, might still—have a fangirl crush. Whose blue eyes leave her embarrassingly tongue tied.
All Declan wants is to meet a nice, normal woman who won’t use him as a stepping stone to fame. Something about Reagan tells him she could be that rare woman, and he follows his instinct to invite her back to his suite—where they proceed to have wild monkey sex. All. Night. Long.
What was supposed to be one night of no-regrets sex stretches out into a blissful weekend of two people who can’t get enough of each other. But when the glamour of Sin City wears off, they’re standing on the edge of a once-in-a-lifetime chance to turn a weekend fling into something lasting. Will they take the jump?
“Reagan,” Declan called, drawing her attention. She turned to her right to find him sitting on an overstuffed loveseat made out of wicker, the deep red cushions plump and comfortable-looking. He waved her over and she headed toward him, her steps careful, her knees wobbling when she saw the heart-stopping smile on his face as she approached.
“I could watch you do that all night,” he murmured as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees so he could dangle in his arms between his legs, his hands clasped together.
“Watch me do what?” she asked, perplexed. She stopped by a glass-topped table where the two waters Declan ordered sat. But she wasn’t thirsty. She could hardly move, too entranced by the way he stared up at her.
“Walk. You look...incredible in that dress,” he said, letting his gaze skim the entire length of her. “Join me.”
The loveseat wasn’t very big and he was nearly sitting in the middle, so she settled down next to him, their thighs pressed together, her bare leg rubbing against the slightly coarse material of his jeans. She smiled at him as he sat up straight, his shoulder brushing against hers, and she looked away, exhaling discreetly for fear he might notice.
He flat out overwhelmed her. She could smell him, spicy and warm with a hint of soap. His body was hot—she could feel the heat radiating off of him and pulsating through her.
Or maybe that was just her, so crazily aroused for this man she didn’t really even know that she reacted like a woman with out of control hormones. He definitely sent everything within her zinging with just a look, just by sitting next to her.
“It’s a beautiful view,” she said when she couldn’t seem to take him staring at her anymore. She turned to look out at the city lights once more, the breeze blowing through her hair, lifting it from her shoulders and her warm neck.
“I agree,” he said, his voice closer than she realized, and she glanced over her shoulder, his face directly in hers, his gaze locked on her. “Gorgeous.”
She had the distinct feeling he wasn’t talking about the view of Las Vegas. More like he was talking about...her?
No way.

In the free prequel novella WICKED WEEKEND we met Reagan, Natalie and Andrea...three nurses ready to have a good time on their weekend vacation in Vegas. Reagan the sarcastic, realistic one. Natalie the sweet sprite who always sacrifices for others. Andrea the tall, gorgeous perfectionist. They met the mysterious James who became their fashion Fairy Godfather, glamorized them, and got them into an exclusive party for the famous actor he works for.
The story continues in Reckless Nights with Reagan's story. Reagan is smart, funny, but skeptical and untrusting. But when she found out that James worked for actor Declan Carter, she was the first one to agree to go to his party. She had a crush on him before he fell out of the limelight.
Sparks fly as soon as Reagan and Declan are introduced. Declan is charismatic, charming, and sexy. He is also recovering from dependence and a bad press. But he is trying to move on and be more serious about his work and life. He is tired of the typical Hollywood pitfalls and plastic women.
One hot, amazing weekend with an intense connection overwhelms them. He is in need of a second chance at life and she believes he deserves it. But will he blow this chance? He has a career changing movie to shoot and focus on, and she has her own work and life. She is is just a regular night shift ER nurse and he is about to be back in the Hollywood spotlight. Will it just be an extended one night stand or can they mesh their busy schedules to make it work?
This was short, sweet, and passionate. It was told in both Reagan and Declan's points of view. The characters were developed fairly well between this one and WICKED WEEKEND, but the plot was a bit thin and fast paced. But it was an enjoyable quickie read when you want something fast, fun, with likable characters. Her friends Natalie and Andrea also met men that weekend and their stories were alluded to, but the full versions will come in the next two books in the series ENDLESS NIGHTS and WILD NIGHTS.

Three friends, Reagan, Andrea, and Natalie, were introduced in Wicked Weekend. Taking a well deserved and much needed vacation from their jobs as nurses, the three find themselves buying fantastically expensive dresses to attend an exclusive party at the request of a mystery host.
In Reckless Nights, Reagan meets their mystery host -- famous actor Declan Carter and her longtime celebrity crush.
During a whirlwind weekend where sparks fly, chemistry erupts, and a connection is forged, Reagan and Declan ignore the world around them and exist in their own little world. But at the end of the weekend, they are forced to confront everything they overlooked -- Declan’s movie schedule, Reagan’s work schedule, and the slew of real world problems that come from being attached with a Hollywood paparazzi favorite.

While Reagan was entirely focused on Declan, it seems Andrea and Natalie were equally swept up by other men. Their stories are upcoming in Wild Nights and Endless Nights.
For as fast a read as this was, I was completely engrossed. I loved the characters, loved the premise, and loved the outcome. This promises to be a quick series that is as entertaining as it is steamy.

The sex is crazy good. Is it crazier to want something more?
Andrea and her two best friends have shed their nurses scrubs for a long-awaited weekend in Las Vegas, and nothing—flight delays, lost luggage, or the slightly weird guy with the sketchy invite to an exclusive bash—is going to stop their fun.
Within minutes of arriving at the opulent party, she’s deep in conversation with gorgeous, funny Luke Nelson, wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks. For some crazy reason, he can’t seem to keep his eyes—or hands—off her.
Luke isn’t looking for a hookup, he just wants to relax…until he gets one look at the classy brunette in the barely-there dress. One minute they’re talking, the next they’re all over each other in a dark corner. It’s like he’s an addict and she’s the fix he’s been searching for all his life.
One night of hot sex isn’t nearly enough. But after a weekend spent never more than a few inches apart, the time is quickly approaching when they’ll have to make a long-distance relationship work—or break it off.
